Steroid Strength Program

I will be doing an anavar only cycle for 6 weeks at 50mg/day x 4 weeks, 70mg/day x 2 weeks.

What I am wondering is, how dangerous is it injury wise to train using a typical strength building routine compared to something a little lighter. Obviously I will be getting gains on both, but I’m sure my strength would increase even faster on the strength program. Would this be too hard on my joints/tendons etc?

You want to build strength on an anavar only cycle? Is this logic flawed?

The only it wouldn’t be flawed to me is if you were female. And I sincerely hope a female is not using dosages that high of anavar.

Put together a real cycle, with a specific plan, specific goals and a specific diet you intend to follow to achieve said goals. Then come back and post your cycle.

I was hoping this discussion wasn’t going to get started.

All I’m going to say is, almost every single person I’ve read about on an anavar only cycle has had very impressive strength gains.

Sorry to be so blunt but your original question was stupid. If you are really that worried about it then either don’t take the drugs or lift conservatively. Obviously nobody here knows what will happen to you if you take Anavar and nobody knows what you are talking about when you say “typical strength building routine compared to something a little lighter.”

Figure it out for yourself guy. Good luck.

Sorry, I could have been more specific.

A typical strength program with low reps (<4). I could do that, or more of a bodybuilding program with higher reps, drop sets, less rest etc.

That makes more sense but it’s still impossible to predict what will happen.

Also, what are your goals? Like DCtrainer said, figure that out first.

I’m a big fan of Waterbury’s programs. They incorporate high reps/low sets, low reps/high sets, and explosive strength into a single program.

There is always a chance of injury when you are pushing your limits on gear.

Personally I would go with a 6-10 reps scheme.

As for the gear choice there are lots of guys who have gotten great strength results with high doses of Var (60-100mg/d). Most use it with something else that adds some weight (try primo if you are trying to avoid sides).

If you do a var only cycle please post your results as I would be interested to see how it works out for you.

I wouldnt take any oral steroid for 12 weeks.

Ive done an anavar only cyle. it was 50mg for 6 weeks gained 9lbs and put on some good strength that ive kept. thats my advice

If you are determined to go LOW REPS, you NEED to check out WESTSIDE Principles. Friggin’ Dynamic effort, Max effort, and auxillary workouts. Natural, a small bit of juice, or juiced to the gills, Westside works. Ask Dave Tate, and google Chuck Vogelpohl! This man is a freak! I walked by him at a meet in Zanesville,Ohio, and all i could say is,“Excuse me, SIR!” And Louie Simmons will shut any body up at almost 60 years old!
