Anavar

Hi Guys,

I did lots of research and after all reading i will start my first cycle with anavar 30 mg for 6 weeks with TRIBEX to prevent loss of libido.

Now i know, i know you will say that is not too much; i am aware of this issue but is my first cycle and want to see how my body react + i wrote in different thead that 30 mg is enough to gain some quality kg (providing that diet and training are in check; i also know what use to protect liver etc…).

my question is; first of all anyone has done a smilar cycle? if yes how about libido during and after?

To keep what i gained i would like to use:

HMB 15 gr
6-oxo 300 mg
opti zinc
TRIBEX maximum dose

I would like not to use any nolva o clomid becasue worry for hairloss.

About hairloss during cycle:
nizoral, xandrox, spiro and fina

for who think that anavar is too light for gain muscles check it out:

BACKGROUND: The purpose of our study was to assess the early effects of a potent anabolic androgen on muscle mass and strength, lower extremity power, and functional performance in older men. METHODS: Thirty-two men 72 +/- 6 years of age were randomized to receive oxandrolone (10 mg twice daily) or matching placebo in a 2:1 manner for 12 weeks.

Total and appendicular lean body mass (LBM) were assessed by dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Lower extremity muscle volume was determined by magnetic resonance imaging to validate DEXA changes. RESULTS: Total LBM increased by 2.7 +/- 1.6 kg after 6 weeks with oxandrolone (p <.001), which was greater (p <.001) than the decline in LBM (-0.5 +/- 0.9 kg) with placebo.

Appendicular LBM increased by 1.2 +/- 0.9 kg after just 6 weeks with oxandrolone (p <.001), which was greater (p <.001) than the decline in LBM (-0.4 +/- 0.5 kg) with placebo. These changes were >90% of the gains in total and appendicular LBM (3.0 +/- 1.5 kg and 1.3 +/- 0.9 kg, respectively) after 12 weeks. Total thigh and hamstring muscle volume increased by 111 +/- 29 mm(3) (p =.001) and 75 +/- 18 mm(3) (p =.001), respectively, after 12 weeks.

Maximal strength increased for the leg press 6.3 +/- 5.6% (p =.003), leg curl 6.7 +/- 8.6% (p =.01), chest press 6.9 +/- 6.5% (p =.001), and latissimus pull-down 4.8 +/- 6.3% (p =.009) with oxandrolone after 6 weeks; these increases were different than those with placebo (p <.001) and were 93%, 96%, 74%, and 94% of the respective gains at week 12. There were no improvements in functional measures.

CONCLUSION: Treatment with a potent anabolic androgen may produce significant increases in muscle mass and strength after only 6 weeks in healthy older men. However, such treatment did not improve leg muscle power or walking speed.

Your conclusions are based on 72 year old men with no muscle mass. Unless you are a woman or an old man, then this cycle will work just fine.

I think the reason these men may have gained weight is that they were most likely androgen defecient to begin with; a phenomenon that tends to occur in older men.

I have no experience with var so I can not help you there, but why not just do Test for 6 weeks and taper off from there?

When anavar is used alone in small amounts there seems to be no need for ancillaries. You will undoubtedly notice gains off of such small dosages since this is your first cycle.

On the downside anavar is c17 alpha alkylated steroid that will put stress on the liver, but not so much at your low dosages and your time frame. Another problem with this drug is that it can be linked to lowered total cholesterol and a redistribution in the ratio of HDL to LDL.

This is taken from the Steroid Newbee Thread.

a)I know of no link between nolva/clomid and hair loss.

b) If you are neglecting PCT (even with a var cycle) because of hair loss issues then perhaps you have no interest doing AAS at all. You MAY get away with it after a var cycle (although I advise against EVER neglecting PCT) but you will certainly NOT get away without PCT for other compounds.

Also, If you’r libido drops during this cycle, it will be very foolish of you to not do PCT.

c) We need your goals/stats etc. IMO you should bump up the var dosage to 60-80MG ED if you want to see anything approaching sinificant LBM gains.

I will shortly (next week) be experimenting with var only at 60mg for 8 weeks (proviron on hand in case of libido issues)…mostly out of curiosity…however I do not expect huge LBM gains.

I expect a max of 15Ib LBM gain (and that is only becuase I will up calories significantly, be training very intensely and have effectivley been off any form of AAS for over a year so I consider myself “fresh”), along with nice strength gains a some great hardness.

d) The study you pasted does not bear much relevance to your situation. Sure, var will give gains, but that was 75 year old men in that study!! THey would probably gain 10Ibs off TRIBEX alone!

e) Again, NEVER NEGLECT PCT, no matter what the cycle.

Not tryin to sound like a dick here, if var only is your thing then great. Just dont expect massive gains at the dose your running. Your biggest problem IMO is the lack of PCT.

I did a 5 week cycle at 30mg a day and the results were excellent. Only PCT was TRIBEX and I can honestly say I did not endure any sides during or after other then some decent growth. (around 14lbs increase within 4 weeks) I intend to repeat the cycle in a month or 2.

Hi.

I have done 3 cycles of Anavar, always while dieting, as follows:

  1. 6 week cycle
  2. 40mg per day Anavar
  3. 20 mg per day Nolvadex (even though this appears to be unecessary, since aromatization is not an issue)…
  4. PCT = 2 weeks of Nolva @ 20mg ED + TRIBEX + ZMA

In terms of results, in all 3 cycles I maintained weight at 188 lbs, but dropped bodyfat from 11% to 7% over the 6-week period. This is a 7lb loss in bodyfat / gain in LBW. Not bad at all, just over a pound a week.

I had no side effects whatsoever (hair loss, acne, libido, etc.), and felt absolutely great. Bloodwork was fine, no change in cholosterol, etc. In all, Anavar just felt like a “super supplement” to me.

Finally, I experienced no strength increase at all, but bear in mind that a) I was in a near-constant hypocaloric state (2,200 KCal per day), and b) I was on a ketogenic diet, which for me spells a dramatic loss of strength.

Good Luck,

Dr. D
