Static Holds & Extreme Stretching

Just wanted to bring this up. Does anyone find that holding the weight at a peak position of maximum tension of an exercise builds muscle fairly well?

Try this with dips especially, hold the position where your arms are parallel. You won’t be able to feel your hands after 20 seconds.

I don;t do a lot of forced reps anymore, but for my last rep, when I know I’ve got nothing left in the tank, I like to hold the weight midrange until I totally fail. Feels great, and burns like hell. Really makes you see what you’re made of (I usually make some contorted faces, occassionally spit, grunt like a pig -lol)

I won’t do a set of just a static hold, but I will do what mighty stu said here.
