Close. To make more profit was the main reason. Those who died and suffered, did so for a worthy cause. They were just collateral damage that helped align the pockets of the owners.
I wouldnāt TRY and make money at the expense of others safety. Get it now? There is a monumental difference between making a profit and making a profit at almost any cost.
Whether you are trying to or not doesnāt matter - you are contributing a decrease in safety of others through trading. All those servers tracking trades, mining trade data, etc⦠that you use on a daily basis have significant power draws. This is obviously connected to use of natural resources to generate power and therefore the expulsion of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Those contribute to global warming and an increase in devastating natural disasters like wildfires and hurricanes.
Clearly making money at the expense of others while not producing or contributing in anyway to offset that impact (either by at least providing jobs, or creating a durable good, or etcā¦). So you are indeed part of the parasitic portion of society.
The way economies work, you donāt have much, if any, separation from the defense industry. Youāre like the German citizen who lived half a mile from a death camp who claimed he didnāt know what was going on.
And so is using the internet and helping to manufacture weapons that are directly related to the deaths of innocents. However not to worry you employ the guy who does your lawn etc. You are reaching and itās hilarious! Iām sure you praise the use of fossil fuels and deride sources like wind, solar and hydroelectric. Viva la capitalism!
This is exactly the response expected.
You constantly reach in a similar manner to try and bolster your weak ass arguments.
Actually, I am all for renewable resources. Contrary to your belief, It is possible to care about more than one set of things. Solar is not super viable as a long term solution, but plenty of other things are. Nuclear is really the cleanest way to go to meet current power demands.
Itās not hard to make the argument that an overall lowering of the population would be better for the safety of the majorityā¦
You should feel lucky you live in a place where you can actively dissent against āthey systemā. For most of history and still in many places of the world you would have been tried for treason long ago.
Then it matters that I donāt choose how the weapons I help manufacture are employedā¦I only intend for them to be used for defensive purposes.
That argument either works for everything, or not all.
Are you running an exchange? Or just making margin calls with trades on an exchange that someone else runs?
Liquidity is provided by the existence of exchanges. More volume does bring down the spread and thus the cost of foreign transactions, but itās a marginal difference. Youāre not enabling foreign trade. Youāre just making it slightly more profitable for some people.
Iām pretty laissez-faire on letting people leverage whichever opportunities they see for profit. And if you are really able to make a good living on forex with little effort, I canāt deny that there is a part of me that envies that. But short-term foreign currency trading doesnāt create any goods or services that anyone uses (and only very tangentially contributes to a system whereby others are enabled to make goods and services). Yet you are extracting value from the economy, presumably buying goods and services with the money you make. How can you claim any sort of moral superiority from that?
If he were to only speak about things that he has a clue about, what would be left?
Soul crushing loneliness? Yearning for attention? The inability to bond with people, use commas, or apply critical thinking? Involuntary celibacy?
I donāt think self reflection is what heās going for.
