Hi,
I have been lifting consistently for 4 months. I’m 32 years old & my main goal was/is initially to lose fat and add a little muscle. I had bloodwork done and my test levels were 693.
I have lifted my whole life but took 2-3 years off prior to this 4 months of lifting. My diet is good but not perfect and I am somewhat plateauing with my fat loss.
I am going to run 300mg test for 10 weeks since this is my first cycle. I know there will be people who say that’s too low but going higher isn’t something I’m willing to entertain since it’s my first cycle.
My question is, will this substantially help my fat loss? I want to add muscle as well but that is second in terms of importance. I took a bod pod & DEXA that said I’m 21% body fat (picture attached) which seems super high compared to what I look like but I can’t argue that BOTH are wrong lol. I know that’s a higher BF than most ppl recommend starting gear on. I track my diet and my hope is that this cycle will essentially “hedge” my calorific deficit (I.e. the nutrient partitioning, higher TDEE from my daily 12-15k steps and lifting., etc.) will expedite my cut/recomposition. Is this naive or accurate?
The science behind my theory is there but I would like some firsthand experience input. I know I have to refine my diet more and will, but will test have the magnifying effect I am hoping it does?
