Starting a Relevant 3rd Party

Candace Owens hinted at running. She would make a great candidate

I don’t know much about her. She would have to wait until 2028 to meet the age requirement.

Great candidate or great president? Because if it’s the latter, I hope you are joking.

She is poorly educated and has no experience in much of anything. If it weren’t for YouTube, she would be irrelevant. It’s one thing to say things that people like to hear and another to have the ability to solve problems.

Regulation that is designed and properly enforced instead of just paying off the regulators to look the other way. Not corporate controlled regulation, so that there are no consequences to their actions. They privatize the profits and socialize the cost. Same as it ever was.

Yes, it is not an illusion in the literal sense but to pretend that less tax and regulation is somehow a philosophy to always get behind because it is always good is itself an illusion. Bezos may have more money in his bank account because he at one time paid his workers so poorly that the government had to subsidize their pay. All from one of the richest company in the world and one of the richest men. It wasn’t until he was embarrassed by this fact by Senator Sanders and Congressman Ro Kanna. He was revealed to be an unscrupulous greed-miser. A total piece of shit!

You mean no one wants to stop prostituting themselves.

If they have their lobbyists writing the regulations you’re damn sure they are benefiting over smaller businesses and the public. And you probably think you are supporting small businesses but don’t even realize you are hurting them when you actually believe you’re championing them. You can chalk all up to you’re debunked right-wing philosophy.

There are plenty of left-leaning folks here…I’d say they’re the majority. I’m glad you figured out how to use the quote function during your time away.

Absolutely. It made me furious. I’d like to say this would be a great time for a moderate third party but I just don’t see the appetite for moderation in people right now. Or perhaps it just takes someone much better at marketing and networking to see how it can work.

The GOP got in bed with that devil in 2016…

Yeah, I was looking for something a bit more structured. You gave me a bunch of talking points. What does that LOOK LIKE?

I agree with this and have never advocated such a thing. Very few if anyone believes in anarcho-capitalism for these very same, obvious reasons. If you’re speaking of strict trickle-down economics then yes that also has problems.

Don’t put words in my mouth. You don’t have a fucking clue what my philosophy is or what I actually believe. Just like the old Zeppelin.

I have a hunch some of the new forum posting practices are aimed at eliminating things you used to do. At least he has better taste in profile pictures now

@twojarslave (l think) accused me of being liberal once. Haha
Miss your posts 2JS, but understand why you stopped.

I’m hopeful that the new administration will bring new subjects to discuss and some old posters back

Not like right-wingers.

What did I do?

You didn’t like stuff like this?

You tell me. What does your solution look like? Or do you just believe in deregulation as a whole?

So please expound on your political philosophy.

He used to do. No idea how that got mistyped!

I need bleach for my eyes now. I have to try out the Trump special

That’s correct. Left-leaning folks are not like right-wingers. Thank you for that analysis.

He was also into real estate:

Yeah, and ed seems to write in the same style as ol’ Zep too. Down to sentence construction and word choice (cue up sudden editing of ed’s past posts to reflect different writing style).

I’m not suggesting he be banned of course. I just think it’s funny.

He somewhat figured out the quote function. Do you think he had enough time to also figure out how to edit posts?

Edit: Has he called anyone a derelict yet?

I used to bang the third party gong here all the time. But I’m pretty much over it now. Not that I don’t think it’s still a good idea just that I don’t see how it happens. People have been saying we need more options for a long time and it just doesn’t come to fruition.

Maybe Trump blows up the GOP and we get something new even if I likely wouldn’t support it but I doubt it. I think ten years from now it will be D and R and nothing else remotely viable. But I’d love to be wrong.
