Mass comes from food. The more advanced you become the more you have to worry about rep schemes and rest periods. For now do what you have been doing until it stops working.
I started at 5’6 135-ish and focused solely on strength training until I built a foundation of strength that I was happy with. When I decided to shift to a “bodybuilding” approach I was able to use heavier weight for higher reps than I would have been able to if I attempted to progress by only doing high rep workouts. That’s just my experience.
