Day[9] Launch Party Stream

God damn it I have so many tests this week and I’m really antsy to play SC2 again… The only thing deterring me from getting it before the weekend is how ugly those nerds with budding breasts look on the launch party stream. Back to studying.

There was about 200 people at the place I went to we were like first 50. Took 30min and i was the last person to get a free hat which ill be wearing during workouts. No posters though however I stole a marine window sticker about 2 feet long off the window when i left.

Downloaded and installed it this morning. Will be purchasing the digital copy when I get back from work today.

Yea the LAN thing pisses me off also, but the reasoning behind it is to prevent hacking and hack development, as Blizzard will pretty much be able to track all multi-player action.[/quote]

I doubt the reasoning is as simple as that.

Damn it I should have ordered a digital copy. My GameStop order which I placed in APRIL won’t have the goods delivered until Thursday, and that’s if the flakey UPS guy decides to ring my bell.

Haha that’s awesome.

I should be getting SCII in the mail today…

Looks like a group was able to crack the game…

I was caught off guard when there was actually a gathering at my local gamestop, I’ve never seen a midnight release actually get attention in my area. Obviously we all know how big a deal the game is, but I figure if Madden and MW2 don’t get the bros in my area out to celebrate their games, a PC title like Starcraft surely wouldn’t either. Holy fuck was I wrong.

Early predictions were around 3 million units in the first week, but those are already thought to be low. SC2 is far bigger than Madden or MW2, especially on a global level.

Just copped! Anyone here that was actually GOOD at the first one?

I was good at non-ladder. Never really played ladder at all.

I haven’t played an RTS since early wc3:tft days(and didn’t get to clock as much time on the beta as I’d like), skills are gonna be mad rusty.

If you do a digital download, is it set permanently to your computer? or can I go to my buddy’s house download it and play at his computer as well?

That game stole age 15 from me. At one point I got up to a 1401 ladder score, which was #100 something on the ladder list at the time.

I was decent at the first one, but only played money maps :frowning: Now I see the error in my ways.

However, how many of you guys actually planned to drag your computer to a friends house for a lan party? Seriously? I could give a fuck shit less about the LAN support, the only thing that even remotely bothers me is that you need to be online for the campaign, but still, I don’t care, i’ll probably play through it once on normal, then on brutal and never open it again.

Just got my copy…

HELL YEAH!

The former would be idiotic.

Played about 5 games last night… Got my ass handed to me each game. First thoughts, it’s waaaaay more complex than warcraft 3 and the last starcraft

I bought it today and it is awesome. I played the beta so I mainly just played the campaign today and it is sweet.
