I just saw an ad for “The Contender.” What the hell is wrong with Stallone’s face. Its a weird combination of boney and puffy at the same time. But I’m still going to watch it though.
botox
Surgery and makeup?
Clubber Lang beat the hell out of him in Rocky III. Geez. I thought everyone knew why his face was so messed up.
I thought it was all the punishment Ivan Drago gave him?

Stallone had a forceps delivery when he was born apparently the forceps slipt and severed a nerve in his face which is why he talks a little funny…
Im not sure about the appearance thing though.
No, no you guys are both wrong! It was the beating that Apollo Creed gave him in the very first fight.

no way. Creed was a pretty boy with the punching power of proteinpowda.
ALL of you are wrong. It’s the beating the critics and the public gave him for making Rocky V (which never happened. It just never happened).
Mr. T hit Rocky so hard it killed Mickey.

ouch, that was below the belt, do that again and I’ll have to deduct a point
No, no, no…its a cumulative effect.
The combination of having the critics kick his ass over Rocky 5, loss of all respect from everyone on the planet for “Stop or my Mom will Shoot.”, and having to watch his ex-wife Bridgete get freaky w/ Flava Flav on television…its a wonder he hasn’t bit down on the end of a .357 by now.
Props to Sly for never quitting whatever it is he’s trying to do.
all things considered, I actually liked 5. I think I’m the only one on the planet. I’m not saying it was a great movie or anything, but it wasn’t terrible, and it had some great lines in it.
If it wasn’t for sly, we might not have the action stars we have today.
I mean, before Rocky and Rambo all there really was for action stars was Charles Bronson, Rutger Hauer and Clint Eastwood. None of whom was really in shape.
I know, I know, Arnold did Conan, but back then Conan was kind of a fringe movie with more of a cult following.
who cares, that was a great show even withb that marble mouth hosting it!

No. Mickey was overcome by fear at the sight of the giant rampaging angry black dude and collapsed from fright (see previous non -t behavior thread!)
According to Stallones new magazine “Sly” Rocky VI is in production!
Have mercy…lol

What is going to be? Rocky’s quest to win The International Retirement Home Belt?
I see he’s got a supplement line now. He needs to come up with a supplement that will make hollywood actors taller. Think of the clientele he’d have!

from what I’ve heard its supposed to be a very back to basics kind of tribute movie. He was disappointed with the way 5 left the character and stuff.
