What are you talking about? Sly definetly qualifies as an athlete.
Why? What sport does he compete in?
He’s a two time world heavyweight champion boxer AND an ex race car driver…geez…[/quote]
Don’t forget arm wrestling.

ROTFLMAO
Yeah…
It’s all about the gh and the gear. Never mind that hes been busting his ass in the gym for the last 30-odd years.
Just when I think T-Nation has turned the corner and is headed back to its roots - we get a fucking thread like this where dickwads think that just because a man’s face gets larger over 30 FUCKING YEARS he has to be on something.
Will the pussification of the ignorant masses never end?
Stallone is my idol.

yea, not to mention the fact that between those rocky movies and now hes gained about 30lbs. im sure mtotry could give better specifics than i could, but speaking in rough averages, he was ~170lbs for the rocky’s vs. ~200lbs now.
how many of us have gained 30lbs of mostly muscle, without our faces changing? ive literally had people not recognize me being somewhere between 200 and 220lbs when the last time they saw me i was ~175lbs.

You dont need to compete to be an athlete. You just need to train regularly.

I would add “seriously” to that. However, I doubt you will change anyone’s mind. It is about the only way some people can act like a guy can work his ass off for years, gain 50lbs of muscle yet avoid calling him an “athlete” because of it.
Nearly half of all men over 50 are hypogonadal. Nearly ALL men over 50 have adult inset GH deficiency.
These drugs were probably legal and doctor prescribed.

Stop that! There’s nothing to hate when you do that!
On a different note, I love this image – are they actually doing what looks like a 100+ pound barbell-shotput? Crazy. How widely spread were exercises like this back in the day? I mean, I always knew Franco was a strong, athletic mofo, but it’s outside of my normal conception of him to picture him doing (or prescribing) stuff like this!
It strikes me as pretty impressive that Sly’s able to toss that thing one-armed, too (if that is in fact what’s going on in the photo).
I did some impromptu dumbell tosses in my parents’ backyard once – granted, I was only using a 10 pounder, but I was heaving that thing as high and as far as I could. It lasted maybe twenty throws – and I don’t think my folks were thrilled with the divots I left in the yard. End of that experiment.
Stallone has admitted to taking growth hormones for years. He acted like a politician and actually said he was taking a super potent and high tech amino acid in an interview years ago, but those with some knowledge knew what this really meant.
He of course also takes the tribulus/6-OXO he promotes, and who knows what other supplements. He denies taking steroids, at least for quite some time, and I tend to believe him. He works his ass off in the gym and like he admits has been using growth hormone for years. Growth hormone can change one’s face, but regardless I think he looks good for his age.

Why would he take a PCT if he didn’t have some kind of CYCLE for which there was a need for a following drug therapy (unless there’s a PCT for the GH – I dunno, I’m just punching my thoughts onto my keyboard)?

6-OXO (assuming it actually doesn’t suppress your HPTA as Bill Roberts and Cy claim it does) and Tribulus are most certainly not ONLY for PCT.
But assuming Stallone did need post-cycle therapy, I’m assuming that with his knowledge of the game and his money, he’d be doing something a little better than some OTC stuff…which would almost be REQUIRED to use something more potent after “drug therapy”, as opposed to trib/6-oxo and the like.
And just because he promotes a product (his Instone line) does not mean he takes that.
Aside from that all, I have to agree that many of you are…batshit crazy? I don’t know if we’ve heard the words “organomegaly” and “GH skull” too much and the idea is just getting parroted around, but he doesn’t look like Australopithicus. He looks BETTER at 60 than do most others his age, and people are STILL saying he’s used/abused Growth Hormone TO THE POINT OF CAUSING FACIAL DEFORMATION?
Insane.

ill try to dig up more photos from this work out…oh okay…I found one…
Tossing that barbell (I am pretty sure) was just Stallone messing around with the camera person…or just a way to dump the weights…
