Would anyone please verbally read this thread to me? My eyes are still blinded from the light reflecting off Nate Dogg’s head.

dude, I was sitting right behind him, I think I have corneal and retinal burns!!

That was me sitting directly to your left. Sorry we didn’t chat more.

I figured I must have smelled or something. Heck, I had two seats open beside me until you showed up!

Didn’t get to do a lot of mingling Fri. or Sat. since my wife was with me. I plan on being much more social next year!

For all those who I didn’t get a chance to chat with, be sure you come up to me at future events. I like putting a face to the T-Nation handle.

Unfortunately, I was being pulled in about 20 different directions during my brief stint. Nevertheless, Phill, Nate Dogg, Bastard, Jilly, and a few others served as a good welcoming committee.

Thanks!

I was gonna chat with you, but you seemed to want to get out of there pretty quickly. I was standing outside waiting for my wife to get back from the spa when you were talking to Shugart right before you left.

By the way, thanks to Julianne and Coach Staley for the great goody bag I won. I’ve been lucky around here lately, first the Dave Tate book, now a bag full of heavy handles, grippers, T-shirts, Dan John (Guy A) DVD…

Yes, I was “Guy B” and I took my coaches words to heart. And really, “Guy A” set me up so well and I missed a great opportunity…Imagine this…

Hot blonde girl walks up and we start to “talk”. Me “So what do you do?” Her “I’m a massage therapist (as she touches my arm ever so softly…)” Me “cool”…And yes, that was it. I know, I have a way with words. But perhaps with Bastards help I will seal the deal next year.

Anouther cool thing was following a crowd of people to lunch and ending up in the Snideman/Henkin lunch party at My Big Fat Greek Restuarant. I ended up sitting with some great trainers from SoCal (one of them the KettleBell God) and anouther T-Nation reader, sorry dude, I forgot your handle now…There was just sooo much info going around durring that 8 hours.

Ok, I’m done now for real.

DD AKA “Guy B”

Chadman, that’s it.

Yep dude, that was me. Good lunch and good people.

Looks like everyone had a fantastic time at boot camp. Next year I’m definitely going to be there!

Here’s a quick sneak preview of one of the pics in my upcoming article on the seminar. I also posted a few leftovers in my <a href=“http://www.t-nation.com/category.jsp?categoryID=37&pageNo=1"target="new”>blog.

Those sandbags were fun. I realized one thing from the exercise; doing a bit of cardio everyday pays off; some guys were really sweating and panting after it!

But the good thing about those exercise is that it’s very easy to maintain proper form while performing then (e.g. See that guy in the blue shorts on the right).

Anyways I must get back to eating my:
Slice of bread, 4/3 cup of pasta, and protein shake as my PWO meal before I head to the library for a few hours to study O-chem, Apparently I need to learn 2.4 chapters in about 36 hours and I’m out of Spike! Fed-ex me some fast!

Hey dudes. My first post ever (sorry for the “Big” in front of “Derek”; just “Derek” was already taken).

It was fantastic meeting all you guys. To paraphrase Bastard, who woulda thunk I would end up having a great time with guys HE met on the internet?

I will have a full report later, I have a two hour workshop tonight and I have to get out of here. Let me say this, though: there seems to be an instant bond that glues us all together at these events. It is strange how fast it happens. For example, Bastard and Derek. Now, Bastard has been on the net here for a while at T-mag often yanking my chain. Yet, he is…and I am ruining his rep here…a simply great guy. Derek…never heard of him…instant best friend. Here Derek: here are the house keys…lock up when your done.

[/quote]

Dan, I could not agree more…it was an honor hanging out with you, and nice to know that someone can actually go scotch for scotch with me. You can have the keys to my house anytime…just don’t hang out too much with my wife…she will end up saying “Derek, why can’t you be as cool as that Dan John guy?”

Any word on where/when we can get these sandbags?

There is just something very cool about this picture.

BIG DEREK!!! What’s up dog? I’m glad you joined up. I wish I had a photo of me standing beside you. You’re a monster! LOL!

Todd, the sandbags can be purchased through Josh and Keats at their website. But I can’t remember the address now! Great bags! Much better than the Ironmind kit. I want to get some. And they have some new and improved ones coming out at the beginning of next year.

Again, not enough words can be said and not enough pictures can be posted to truly show how much of a blast this experience was!!! I’m still recovering and have a smile on my face.

Dan John is the man. It was really great that he was “in the trenches” with us on Friday and Saturday nights. I think he was the only T-Nation contributor who was able to hang with all of us the entire time.

And although we all lacked sleep, it was well worth. However, hearing the coaches talk about sleep deprivation during the Q&A session reinforced the reason why you can’t do this all the time! LOL! I’m so glad I slept for 15-16 hours from Sun-Mon. I even hit the weights on Monday as scheduled and had a great workout.

I want to go back! Let’s do this again.

If we all lived near each other, we’d be the best of friends and have so much fun all the time.

You guys rock.

The sandbags are called Body Bags. Do a search online

Nate… you’re already my best friend

Josh told me he’s working out a deal now with the Iron Woody folks to make trainng-specific sandbags. He may be giving T-Nation some to review when they’re ready. Maybe we’ll get a few extra to give away to readers in my “Gear” product review column.

Awwww…you just said that because I let you take me down in arm wrestling! :stuck_out_tongue:

Good times. Definitely good times. You’re the bomb Shelle.

Hey, even though I was one of the shortest, I wasn’t the smallest. I have a little bit of size on me.

I’m still trying to get caught up at home from being away all weekend, but I just have to say that I had THE BEST TIME all the way around!!! It was great to meet everyone, I learned a TON and the weather was amazing.

Thanks, Shelle, for everything - you made a good trip into a great trip

Just wanted to say that I saw Nate Dogg grab Chris’ butt. I don’t blame him though. It was quite irresistable.

And Shelle, if you read this post, THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing us around and helping us get around while we were there. I never got a chance to formally thank you…so thank you!

And Chris…next time I see you, I hope I’m as bold as Nate Dogg was.

I don’t know…Shugs might have liked it more when I did it than if you did!

Shugs, Sandy is hot, be sure to take her up on the offer next time!

If I’m so hot Nate, why didn’t you grab my butt?
