actually that is the Pittsburgh Steelers Troy Polamalu. its an official NFL prescribed workout. his unilateral training is the key to his speed and prowess on the field.
Just to say I found that on Youtube I haven’t been stalking anyone.
And yes your guess is as good as mine
Not a SRC but something fucked up that happend at the gym yesterday. A guy was doing DB Shoulder press on an adjustable bench. Midway through a rep the pin holding the bench pops out and the guy goes flying backwards with the dumbells in his hands, and does like a backwards roll off the bench, I thought he broke his neck or something. But he got up like nothing happend. I would have been pissed if I was him. I was like 4 feet away from him at the time too, fucking freaked me out.

Haha! Just visualizing that made me laugh out loud. That’s awesome
Just got back from the gym, where I witnessed a 150lb kid teaching a 120lb kid how to work out. All the basics got covered: preacher curls, concentration curls, drop sets… lol
The kid could put on 80lbs in a year if someone showed him how, and it makes me sad.

Happened to me on the leg press once, the pin popped out of the inclined chair and I had a heavy amount of weight. The jarring movement just threw the weight down at me and my legs folded like origami. Luckily I managed to push out and get unstuck without being hurt…They have changed the bench since.
Old dude at my gym the other night (looked kind of like my avatar) actually had Gray’s Anatomy and was consulting it between lifts to perfect his form. Whatever works for you I guess, it was just bizarre…

Why not show him? At least tell him to google Starting Strength or something.

Maybe if the kid was messing around by himself I would say something, but I don’t usually go up to people and offer unsolicited advice. People that do that are the reason I train with headphones on.
I was getting ready to do a set of cable crunches, so I set the weight and put the pin in. As i am descending down to my knees the pin falls out and I face planted so hard.

Last night I saw a guy in the gym with short spikey hair and those long emo bangs. He had to hold them up with a head band…pretty sure he was wearing eyeliner too. To top it all off, I saw him doing curls with the smith machine! I thought this was a myth!!

If he was doing curls with the Smith, You should stay away, he sounds like one tough sonnofabitch.
There was a guy at the gym this morning wearing what I think are women’s yoga pants…and now this is the part that sounds unbelievable…but he had the top of his ass out of them.
Not just trucker or plumber butt…but a full 3 or 4 inches of the top of his ass.
I made sure that I showed my workout partner…he turned and saw us and I made sure to say “That’s fucked up!” and then looked away, but he didn’t so anything.
I’m sorry but if he does it again I’m bringing my camera out of retirement…YOU WILL SHARE MY PAIN.
okay so this might not be completely SRC worthy but when i first started lifting of course i had no clue what i was doing and got a deal on a “personal training session” at the gym i was useing at that time. needless to say i was given a four day split consisting of no DL’s only form of benching was in a machine not sure what its called, and 4 bicep curl variations on “back and arm” day . . . this guy claims like 10 years experiance in “sports specific” training and a bachelors degree in it. luckily i now found this website after only doing this for a few months
Well, it finally happened. I had gone my entire life thus far without seeing anyone actually curl in the squat rack while I was there, but today changed everything. I was so enraged by this guy- there was an open preacher curl thingy RIGHT THERE and he goes to curl in the squat rack.My hate fueled my workout, and I got in some really good pressing, including push presses later performed in that squat rack.
I did get my own little moment when, after unloading the plates from that push press I turned and found myself face to face with a dog (he was in the office and the window is right next to the squat rack) and I jumped a little.
My first actual squat rack curler: saw some guy doing 21’s with an EMPTY olympic barbell, I was just thinking why?
I saw a lady on a thigh adductor machine today using an iPad to play sudoku. She was just sitting there though, she wasn’t using the machine.
