I saw this at the gym today and for some reason it struck me as absolutely HILAROUS.
Cracked my shit up.

In which men’s sport do the uniforms include writing ON THE ASS?
Male Volleyball by the looks of it.

The funny thing is the girl’s comment at the end, she’s like “wow!”. And all those people sitting there watching?

Hell there’s this idiot at my gym that puts 2 plates on each side of the decline hammer bench and basically just rotates his shoulder blades in and out…his arms don’t really bend much at all. he does this 3 X a week.
At least this stupid idiot Joe bastard had hundreds of pounds on.
I’m not defending this guy in the video, just letting you know how retarded MY gym is!

The only joke here is how jealous you are. I can sense it through your typing.

Lol, I remember when I posted this back in SRC 3.0! Funny stuff still!

Cool Story of the Day:
Some kid at my uni-gym was deadlifting 315 for a couple reps lost it on the last one and fell forwards slamming the weight into the rack. Obviously his for wasn’t the greatest, but that’s not the point of the story.

One of the gym worker minions hears it and comes in to scold him. At the same time the guy that runs the facility walks in so the minion goes to tell on the kid for slamming weight. The guy that runs the place gives the minion the you’re a dumb ass look, then says “let him”.
Also congrats to the one kid for getting a rep pr, albeit ugly.

I need ideas from others to see how we can send a message to let these guys know that they’re not as bad ass as they think they are. Internet points will be given for artistic flair.
Just say, “Why are you only doing partial reps? Are you working on your lockout strength?”

Really, height discrimination?
Volleyball HAPPENS to be one of my favorite sports

Of course I have to be in the front because if I’m in the back, most of the time the ball won’t make it over the net unless I pass.

Volleyball is a height-discriminating sport. At 6’3" I was one of the shortest guys on my college team. I always forget that I’m actually taller than most people.

Sounds like rowing. I coach high school rowing and every guy on our team is taller then me. Granted I outweigh all of them but still.

Awesome!

You’re going to have to bring in your Kenny Loggins Greatest Hits CD from now on, in case you see him again.

Talking straps…how many times have you seen a guy use them for curls? I’ve seen that probably two dozen times.
Hey, look. I have a forearm injury right now, and have used straps in order to curl weight I can’t hold onto without serious pain.

I’ve also used them for pinwheels so I could use more weight.

Straps do not make you a pussy.
When I sprained my middle finger, I couldn’t curl it far in enough to wrap around the smaller diameter of the handle in the dumbbell. But if I wrapped a strap around the handle, it increased the diameter to where I could grip it with my injured finger.

So yeah, sometimes there are logical reasons for dumb looking things in the gym. Although I was only using a strap on the one hand, so that probably kind of looked wierd as well.

Trust me…these guys do not use the straps in any way like that. They are just trying to use straps so they somehow look like they know what they’re doing and as though they have some sort of experience at lifting.

I’ve seen dudes in my gym use straps for everything. Bench Press, Curls, Lateral Raises, DB Presses, DB Rows… I wonder if it’s a new trend, like wearing wife-beaters and doing 1/8th squats with light weight.

Speaking of light weight, there was a trainer trying to pull off a Ronnie Coleman impersonation everytime he finished his set of Rows. Funny, his accent was so bad nobody understood a thing.
