Judging numbers are we? And talking about being the better man in the same post? Hypocrite AND liar…
I stand corrected. You were doing DB Extensions (2 handed and overhead I presume), I originally had taken these for kickbacks. If that makes me a liar, so be it.
I do hope you’re not insinuating I blow up my numbers (I truly doubt you are) but for the record I do have videos up of all my lifts (and more coming today) in my log. Just because I’m stronger then people does not give me a right to go and mess with people in a way that could leave them seriously injured.
I’m not judging numbers, I’m judging you. You have no right to:
- Pick on people weaker then you
- Interfere with people’s workouts in a manner that puts them in harms way
- Think you’re strong
You’re going around messing with people in a manner that puts them in harms way. You’re going around calling people weak when you yourself are weak. It’s like winning the special olympics…at the end of the day you’re still retarded.
As far as being a hypocrite, I said others were better men for helping people out in a non-dysfunctional way. I on the other hand prefer to take the low-road.

H4m, thanks. Your post makes sense. I figure I’m right around the middle ground of the two extremes you mentioned. Plus it seems over here action as I’ve taken is frowned upon, which is also news to me. I didn’t see what I did as a bitch move because where I’m from its what would’ve have been expected/normal. Hence why my confusion as to all the complaining but no action taking place.
Thank you for clearing this up, to put it plainly.
You obviously don’t understand what H4M is saying. He’s saying you’re like the same person on the bus randomly slapping a stranger. You’re not in the middle of the extremes, you are the extreme since you put people in harms way. If you were just yelling/being a dick to them but not physically putting them in harms way I’d say you were in the middle of the extremes, leaning more towards “our side” and less towards “noob side”. As it stands, you’re just as bad as the person slapping a random person in the face on the bus.

As I’ve said before, its arguable whether or not the SRCurlers were weaker than me or not, good job missing that. If douchebags are interfering with my workout (to which I believe they have no right) it gave me the right to fuck with them to get them to leave. Harms way or not, I did not care.
I do think I’m strong and workouts like today help validate that. I see guys struggling to do bodyweight dips meanwhile I have 70 lbs on me for reps… hmmm. Again this is just one example. And again I’d love to train with stronger people, I believe it was Wendler who said training at Westside is so beneficial not because of the techniques but because of the atmosphere.
But think and judge what YOU want, while I continue DOING.

From your pic, and from your info, you seem to be a weakling.
You must pick on 50 year old women.
Weakling. Interesting. Meanwhile I can’t find a training partner due to everyone else being weak as shit. While I’ll be the first to admit I’m not an elite level power lifter, except for a handful of guys above my age group, I’m out lifting and out growing the majority of guys around my age, even after basically starving and eating horribly for an extended period of time (lets not forget the multiple bouts of de-training!). Decent fail, 8/10.
I’ve met your type in boot camp.
Loud mouth, know it all douchebags that have nothing going for them.
Time for you to look in the mirror.
Nothing going for me?
I’ve basically fulfilled my initial career path, theres nothing left to do with it. Success.
Lived in different countries, experienced different cultures (still an ongoing success)
Been to Disney World for the first time in my life last year. (Major goal/major success!)
Learned and mastered the english language. Success.
Married my “high school sweetheart”. Success.
Have my own place. Success.
Own a luxury automobile. Success.
Enjoy my work. Success.
Have free reign over my life. Success.
Even after abandoning school I went back and got a bachelors degree. Success, especially considering my immense disdain for it.
What were you saying?
Compared to what I’ve done and am doing, you got nothing.
Go back to picking on old ladies.
This made me lol. Again the old ladies thing is nonexistent. The only chicks at the gym were cardio mothers. I have no idea what you’ve done, so I can’t compare. I don’t know of anyone else on the board who has toured internationally either (success number 1, as it was a childhood dream).

If you read my log you’d see my grip strength is a limiting factor. Also, I started deadlifting only recently whereas I’ve trained my squat over a longer period of time. Also flexibility on the squat was a big issue for me and it took a lot of work to fix, so of course I’m going to preach about it. If I could do it so can you!

See if you weren’t acting like such a douche in the gym and putting people in harms way, I’d consider really genuinely offering to help/give tips for your grip strength, as it was a limiting factor in my deadlift for a long time. I’d even give pointers on the flexibility issue, as someone who has had a myriad of knee problems and had to take the whole last year off from squatting.
Also Disney World sucks.
As far as your other goals/successes, congrats to living a life of ordinary. Now do something and strive for excellence.
The others may be justifiable if the person these had been done to directly wronged you in a purposeful way, but that’s not what this sounds like. If it was just a manner of bad etiquette, then explain why they are in the wrong first, they do it again, then ignorance isn’t an excuse anymore, but that doesn’t give you carte blanche to be a dbag.
Not that it matters now since you suddenly have a new gym, but did you try helping the idiots? Generally speaking, people are clueless when it comes to training. Those who do 1/4 squats and 3" bench motivate me to train harder, because even though I might not be putting up their weight, I’m doing it properly and could maybe actually use my strength if something happened.

I’ve tried. This was the best out of 3-4 choices. I made a whole thread about joining a gym. Good job!
Back to the topic at hand…watched a lady in her 50’s today doing some sort of side lunge thing holding a DB in one hand, then sliding her right foot to the right while lunging/squatting with her left leg. How, you ask, did she slide her foot on a carpeted floor? She’d placed a paper plate under her right foot.
Groin injury just waiting to happen was all I could think…came DAMN close to giving her a bit of advise about that possibility, but figured she probably wouldn’t listen, as she was being “coached” by a trainer…

I’m someone stronger then you, much stronger then you (I generally do twice the weight you do on every lift, and no I’m not a big guy, a whopping 181 lbs), as are many people here commenting in this thread, and I for one, wouldn’t train with someone who pulled that type of bullshit.
Do you think the authors of the articles you have garnered your information from (for free mind you) would act the way you do? Guess what, there was a time where you didn’t know any better either and were weaker then you already are. Do you think that people like CT, Tate, Wendler, and others would do the jack-ass type things you do? No, they’ve spent their lives helping those who don’t know what they’re doing.
Think about it like that and maybe you’ll get the point many of us are attempting to make. None of us like SRC, but none of us are going to put them in harms way, confront them about it yes, actively put them in a situation where they may be harmed, never.

Maybe you’re someone who can’t look beyond his own perspective? I lived in Orlando for 5 years (between 7-12 years of age), had season passes every year and personally have very little desire to go back there.
If I want to go on roller coasters I’d go to Universal Studios Island of Adventure or Busch Gardens. Much better rides/parks as a whole, and less mark-up on everything.

I remember the thread about finding a good gym to train in NYC. Im not trying to be a dick here, but seeing your lifts posted on this thread I find it hard to believe that your one of the strongest at your gym unless that gym is a Lucille Roberts.
I train at a dreaded commercial gym, LA Fitness in Staten Island and have a shit ton more people in there stronger than me and my lifts are nothing special but much better than yours. I just dont see how you could be one the strongest guys in your gym…so what gym are you training at?
Also just because you know the proper way to lift and are supposedly stronger than someone doesent mean that someone wont wild out and beat the fuck out of you performing a very dangerous action on top of trying to embarrass said person.
But thank you for letting my afternoon fly by at work.
Also I read that Upright Rows are a no-no in the squat rack? Fuck color me guilty.

No, it doesn’t give you the right. You’re an adult, for Christ’s sake. Act like one.
Didn’t Wendler say in the last installment of Blood and Chalk that “the right atmosphere” isn’t really necessary (look it up)?
Also, SUPER job on the dips. You’re SO strong…I’m doing BW+90 for reps at 15 y/o. I’m not trying to gloat about my numbers, but you need to stop being such a goddamned elitist, particularly when you’re missing the “elite” part; you’re a slightly oversized fish in a ridiculously small pond.
Keep doing if you want, but don’t be surprised when you get kicked out.
P.S. Seriously though, good job on the dips. Keep it up.
Saw what looked liked a ballerina move with db’s in each hand on a bosu ball at a Gold’s once. Standing one foot, the other leg out behind parallel to the ground and so is the back and hands held to the side with tiny db’s. It was what a personal trainer was having their client do.
