This morning a group of 3 bros actually used two separate racks to do their curls. Yup, apparently it was so long to wait in between sets of 80 pound curls that they had to utilize 2 entire racks!!!
Another thing I witnessed this week: Two days in a row this one asshat has completely forgotten to adjust the load on both sides of the bar. Yesterday he ended up doing bench with 20 more pounds on one side, unracked it and somehow was able to rack it again after realizing what a dumbass he was.
Then again this morning he’s doing split squats and between sets loads another 5 pounds onto one side of the bar, and decides not to do the same on the other. And when he unracks it, he makes this strange look as if the bar is uneven, and then just slides it over an inch on his back to rebalance it…
last week(two weeks ago? I dunno. it’s not important) I was doing DB bench, and granted, I’m not a big guy, but at least I try to be safe and civil and not a total retard in the gym.
This big idiot made sure to see how much weight I had in my hands(it was 60s or 70s at this point) and made it a point to grab more weight than me to warm up with. I didn’t think anything of it, he probably weighs twice what I do, no big deal there.
But the look in his face when he tried to kick them into position told me something was wrong, so I cut my set short and stood up, by this point he had dropped both of them and was rubbing his shoulder. I offered to spot him next time and he said ‘yeah, I dunno what happened, that was just my first set’
He picks up his 85, and I pick up the other dumbell, IT’s A 90! Douche grabbed two different sized weights because he was so focused on outperforming the 20 year old ecto next to him(me)!

Uh oh… dammit. Those last two were me…
I got that beat. The frickin cough TRAINERS cough at my gym use one of the posts on the racks to tie off the rubber bands when they are training some 50 year old housewife. On more than one occasion, I asked: if they were usng the rack, if I can work in, etc. Never let me in. To top it off, they would wander off do do another exercise in between and then come back 5 min later!!! It’s not even real band training.

Yesterday at the the gym i experienced “dancing gangsta boy”
he is one shady mofo: full shoulder dragon tattoo, black beater, g-unit jeans, cologne cloud, and constant angry expression.
he apperently has some sort of neck problem as he tilts his head parallel to his shoulders on every lift, in person this is A LOT stranger then it sounds
after benching 185 3 times and failing on the 4th he yells F@#$ as loud as he can - of course the weight room freezes for a second
and incase your wondering why hes DANCING gansta boy, thats the best part, inbetween sets he preteneds to be a dj and starts spinning imaginary turn tables and dancing… it cannot be described in words this ‘dancing’ so im gonna have to get a video. it will be a hit i can guarantee it, though it might get shady if he catches me as i assume he is actually a legit gangster of some criminal nature.
Gotta ask … does he listen to an ipod? The reason I ask is because I listen to my ipod and sometimes air drum along to the song I’m listening to in between sets … it’s not that uncommon of a thing tbh … I always catch guys air guitaring or what have you in between sets
The turning the neck thing sounds bizarre however
no ipod, and its not normal dancing… its kinda like well i cant describe it, almost like hes tripping on something. hes a strange dude. he also makes scary faces to himself between sets right infront of the mirror to psyche himself up or something. like 1 inch away from the mirror.

I always like the guys that want a spot while benching or squatting on a smith machine. I mean what’s next? A spot on leg extensions?
Leverone has a spotter when he does Military Press in the Smith machine you gonna tell him hes doing it wrong?
Seriously all you guys griping over this shit prolly make the worst progress on this site…
Some asshat decided to try and put plates away on the plate rack that was obscured by the power rack (it seems to shift every so often) whilst I was mid set on my ‘5’ set of 531. Literally slid inches by the bar to put a 10lb plate back. It was the most off putting thing I’ve ever experienced, I couldn’t begin to think about my next rep until I knew he’d fucked off.
Finished my 7 reps (I was good for 8-9 I reckon, but standing around with a loaded BB drained me somewhat) and found him doing pushdowns and politely informed him that if he did that again there would be “issues”. I didn’t tell him one of these issues would be a Texas Squat Bar rammed straight down his japseye. I’ll let him find that in his own time.

jay cutler benches in the smith machine…
Thanks, I needed that.
I bench in a smith machine, I don’t trust random dude to spot…
I’ve stapled myself.
Sometimes I’m far weaker then others… So sometimes I miss…
just a suggestion … have you ever thought of setting up the pins in a power cage? I’ve done that in a pinch before (mostly because there wasn’t anyone around to spot me ie the cage was empty imagine that). It works pretty well if you can get the pins right at the bottom part so you can slide it right off if need be (happened … takes out the element of worry if you miss the lift and get stuck … virtually impossible to get stuck this way)
