She tells me that I dont need to train anymore because Im already ‘pumped’ (5’10 185lbs wtf).
Then she tells me how girls prefer guys who are more laid back and not so into training- then I say the dumbest shit EVER.

I’m not even joking…pretty much the only time I’ve had someone talk to me within 60 seconds of finishing a set was another big dude complimenting me on a heavy set of DLs…not like he wanted to chat or give me his opinion like that cunt apparently did.
Oh so yesterday I was looking for a bar and rack to use for a widowmaker set of squats to finish my workout, find an empty rack, ask if these guys standing nearby are using it…
Me: Y’all using this[the rack]?
Him: Yeah, we’re just waiting for a bar to use
Me: Oh, ok
Bit later, after finding another rack/bar to use, I glance over…they’re using the bar and rack for fucking SRCs!
I swear, if I hadn’t already found a rack and bar for myself, they would’ve gotten a piece of my mind, motherfuckers.

Whenever I see someone violating the ONLY power cage/squat rack in my gym with shit like this I always set up shop within the vacinity and ask them “How many sets you guys have left?” I’ve never heard anyone tell me longer than 5 more minutes. Fuckin jabronies
Alright, so I’m 5’5, 200lbs, and one of the strongest guys in my gym. I see these two guys about 6’5" that do a squat routine as follows:
135lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 8 reps
245lbs x 8 reps
275lbs x 6 reps
315lbs x 5 reps and they both get stuck at the bottom of the last rep. And when one got stuck the first time, his spotter just pulled the bar off of his back and held it. Fucker didn’t even bother laying it on the actual “Rack”. These idiots were doing close stance squats, and whenever they came up, they toed the fuck out of their squat. All I thought was, ‘wow, these dudes are strong and stupid’. Poor soldiers of the Army, somoene needs to show these men and women proper form and technique.
It was just the 315. It cracked me up. I didn’t want to go over there and show them up, but I was too busy C&J 225.
What ass clowns.

How the hell are these relevant to what they were doing?
It’s not even like they were doing anything THAT stupid.
This is a situation where you could’ve just politely given them a few pointers on squatting, letting them know you don’t wanna see them hurt their knees, etc etc. At least they were making a solid, intense effort.
I was doing pec flys on the pec/delt fly machine (I think it’s LifeFitness). I did my warmup set and I’m about to do my work sets so I set it on the highest weight that I could do. In front of me, there is an older man with a giant beer belly doing some sort of clean with 10lb dumbbells. I get started and I’m about a quarter of the way through my first rep when he drops his weight, runs over and pushes my arms back.
So I open my eyes (I tend to close my eyes when I go heavy) and I’m fuming mad but the guys says to me, ‘Buddy…that’s too much tension. The trainer says never do that. Let me set it on a better weight.’ I’m speechless at this point and looking back I should have knocked him out for touching me…but I managed to get him the hell away from me with some choice words/growling. He walked away with this pissed look on his face and says, ‘I was just trying to help.’ Damn $10 a month corporate gym.
Because the idiots were…they…squat…close stance…um…racked…stuck…drop…DOH!

Glad you came around and saw your silliness haha
Oh and yesterday I was warming up on shrugs, guy asked if he could work in on the pullup bars attached to the power rack. I said yes, then IN THE MIDDLE OF MY NEXT SET this douche starts doing pullups, like 1 foot behind me, wtf? I was just hoping he would let his feet stray forward enough to touch me…
So theres these guys that come in my gym all the time, and they just talk, they half ass everything, take like 10 mins rests between sets, and pretty much just socialize…
So Im doing TBar rows, and they get on the ab machine next to me, curiosity got the best of me and I turned off my iPod and decided to listen to them during my rest period. They said the following…
Guy 1: “Dude, all Im saying is just tell her your going to a Star Trek convention, she wont wanna come, my girl doesnt, we’ll get there find the hottest nerds, and bang the shit outta them, like one out of every 10 of those star trek chicks are hot, and their freaky too”
Guy 2: “Dude thats the best idea EVER!!”
Guy 1: “I know right!!!”

Same shit happened to me.
Guy asks if he can do pullups and I’m doing front squats. He did 1 set of 3 reps swinging mightily like a primate and walked off, didnt see him until my last set. Sure enough that fucker is swinging behind me 1/2 way through my set. I don’t know how he didn’t kick me but it was distracting as hell to say the least.
Has anyone ever asked you to borrow your straps or belt? There 2 fags that were doing 1/4 squats (okay maybe 1/2 squats) and spotting each other… I’m doing front squats (same session as the above shit happened), and one of the queers comes and asks to borrow my belt as I’m clearly getting focused for a set. I said “I’m about to squat this”, and did my set…he comes over after and just stands there like I agreed to let him use it. I gave it to him so he’d fucking go away.
I know it’s not the end of the world but belts aren’t mad expensive especially if you’re going to keep doing this for a while. Just irritating.

Points for working a centrifuge reference in there

Last Friday while deadlifting this scrawny little prick my friends have nicknamed “the bitch” told me jumping from 225 to 315 was too much of a jump and I was going to hurt myself. This SOB has been bugging the crap out of me for weeks. For some reason he thought we were cool with each other or something. I simply told him I know what I’m doing and continued to workout. After that set he proceeded to tell me that I should lift with straps because alternating my grip will give me muscular imbalances…
And I’m not done. Like I said he’d been bugging me for weeks, so I know he maxes DLs around 250. Well after I maxed out at 455 he comes over and tells me, “Dude I got that half way up a couple weeks ago and just couldn’t lock it out.” Fed up, but still keeping calm, I just looked at him and said, “no, no you didn’t…”
Monday he was doing push press (ish). Had 225 on the bar, sat there for about 15min, unracks it, presses it maybe an inch not even to his chin, and re-racks it. THEN he sits down cross legged and meditated for 20min (not exaggerating, we timed him) then stood up and did the exact same thing. Repeat for 4 more sets.
I have plenty more about him but I will save them for another time.

Had someone ask to borrow my straps so he could do preacher curls… was interesting to watch.
I can’t stop watching your damn avatar…

Never had this happen…crazy shit. Unless they were a legit lifter that had like, forgotten his or something, I’d say fuck no.
I have had a few people ask to use my chalk, when the gym ran out, and I was more than happy to help in that case.

Now see, THIS is a case where it’s ok that he mentioned weights that were being used, because they were relevant to the story. Other posters, take note.
