Spring Break Carbolin 19 Project

WEEK FOUR: MEASUREMENTS

Weight: 184 lbs
Body fat: 6.51%
Waist: 34"

CHANGE FROM LAST WEEK:

Weight: +4 lbs
Body fat: -.32%
Waist: N/C

TOTAL CHANGE:

Weight: +6 lbs
Body fat: -.94%
Waist: N/C

THOUGHTS:
I’m actually pretty amazed that I haven’t ballooned up this week after eating like crap a few of these days. Went out to Famous Dave’s for some BBQ on Valentine’s Day with some of my other single buddies and managed to drop $50 just myself. It was definitely a cheat meal to end all cheat meals.

Going to tighten up the diet again though since spring break is only a couple of weeks away now. Gotta look good for the ladies in Florida!

On the upside I managed to set PR’s in all of my big compound lifts this week so I guess I am doing something right…

And that’s all I’ve got for now.

Any new updates on this?

I am not tracking my progress as closely as Dan is, but I did order 3 bottles a month ago and will be finishing the first of them up today.

A couple random observations:

Over the course of the last few years, I have become accustom to the rate of my gains. This is my second run on Carbolin 19 and I think I can honestly say that this stuff works.

I do not believe I am losing BF while gaining LBM, but the supplement appears to do a great job of stopping fat gains while on a bulk… Which is phenomenal for me.

I had a specific goal to reach a specific weight at a specific time, so that is why I have not tracked everything so closely, but just over the last month I have gained about 2/8 inch in my biceps and my squats are shooting through the roof(about 5 pound increase in working work (4 ro 6 reps) every 2 weeks).

I will make another post on this thread (or maybe Dan and I could post in a “Results” thread) detailing my thoughts on the totallity of my 3 month run on the minimum dose.

First month impressions = 30 dollars WELL spent. I can’t wait to see how HOT-ROX works during my next cutting phase.

Sorry to be late on the update - the internet in our house has been terrible all week, but it’s working now so here goes:

WEEK FIVE: MEASUREMENTS

Weight: 186 lbs
Body fat: 6.83%
Waist: 34.5"

CHANGE FROM LAST WEEK:

Weight: +2 lbs
Body fat: +.32%
Waist: +.5"

TOTAL CHANGE:

Weight: +8 lbs
Body fat: -.62%
Waist: +.5"

THOUGHTS:
Well, I ahve to admit I haven’t been keeping to the diet as close as I should be lately due largely in part to a new lady friend (I let her twist my arm and ordered pizza a couple of times…), but what good is working towards building a better body if you can’t enjoy it, right?

Seriously though, this week has been a success both in and out of the gym. I managed to achieve two of my personal goals this past week, the effects of which have been absolutely awesome. First, I hit my goal that I set for spring break a week early - I wanted to weigh in at 185 while remaining under 8% body fat. As you can see from the results above: mission accomplished! But the one I am really pumped about happened Sunday during my heavy lower
body session.

For some reason, I absolutely love deadlifting. I started incorporating them into my routine about a year ago and ever since have made sure they were a staple of the majority of my programs. I think I really just like the thought of pulling some big ass weight. Anyways,
for about as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to pull 405. I have tried it before, but I never even broke the floor.

So on Sunday when I went to the gym I was in a really good mood and decided instead of doing a last working set, I would go for a PR. I had done 5 sets of 308, so after my fifth set i just threw another 100lbs on the bar, took a deep breath, and ripped that shit off the floor. It was a grinder, but I kept good form the whole time and it actually felt really good. 408! I was so pumped that I just dominated the rest
of my workout, every other lift I did that day just felt so light, it was incredible. So I finally hit a goal I have had for at least a year now and it felt great.

Spring break is on Monday, so this is the last week of the program and only one more update to go and then it’s off to Florida for some sun and beaches.

And if anyone is still reading this post after all that ranting - Lonnie that’s awesome that this stuff is working for you as well, I am interested to hear your results. Post em up here when you get a chance, or if you wanted to do a results thread, let me know and I can write something up for that.

One more week to go, time to bust some serious ass!

Thanks to both of you for continuing to update. This one of the better Carbolin 19 threads I have followed. You both seem to be consistently gaining while “on”. Congrats.

Thanks for the kind words Dan, and the above statement about gaining while “on” is correct. Like I said above, consistantly “faster” gains in strength(for me) and I also havent gotten any fatter. If anything I can see my stomach muscles a tad bit more than before I started, so thats cool.

Sounds like some great results so far, very impressive.

Dan, how are you measuring your BF%?

Dan or Lonnie,

Have either of you been stacking Carbolin 19 with HRX? I was thinking of doing something like that when I start cutting in April, but not sure if either of you have tried it at all.

I measure my body fat using calipers and plugging it into the Jackson/Pollock equation (3 site skinfold test) on the below website:

I don’t think it’s as accurate as a 7 site test, but it’s not really possible to do that by yourself, so I just use this.

I personally have not stacked Carbolin 19 with HRX. HRX contains Carbolin 19 already so I think it would be a bit redundant.

I have also seen it posted on the forums a few times that it is not recommended to stack them together, but am not 100% sure of the reasons why (maybe just a little overkill on the Forskolin?).

I have had good experiences with both of them individually though and used HRX to transition into using Carbolin 19 for this program which had good results for me.

Well, better late than never. Here are the final results of my six week test drive on Carbolin 19:

WEEK SIX: MEASUREMENTS

Weight: 185 lbs
Body fat: 5.25%
Waist: 34.0"

CHANGE FROM LAST WEEK:

Weight: -1 lb
Body fat: -1.58%
Waist: -.5"

TOTAL CHANGE:

Weight: +7 lbs
Body fat: -2.2%
Waist: N/C

Shoulders: +1"
Chest: +1.25"
Bicep: +.5"
Thigh: +.87"
Calf: +.37"

THOUGHTS:
Overall I would rate this six week period as a success. My core lifts all went up at least 20 lbs (which is awesome for me), I pulled a big PR, I gined some quality muscle, and lost a bit of fat in the process. I feel damn good and am starting to look the part.

Now all I have to do is repeat this progress for the next 10 years or so and I should be good to go.

I am going to do another six week program very similar to this one, supplement free this time, and compare the results so I can see how effective this stuff really is.

This project was a lot of fun and tracking it here really kept me honest and made sure I busted ass every day in the gym. The only downside of this whole thing is that I never even made it to the beach when I was in Florida! Oh well, I still have another 2-3 months to get bigger before I can hit the beaches in Minnesota. I think I’ll shoot for 195 and ripped by that time. should be fun getting there.

Thanks for reading this.

Excellent progress.

I have a bottle of Carbolin 19 and should start on it next week.
