Great result! you seem to have had you hopes set on the overall by your reaction, maybe next show.
You’ve done really well, and only your second show!

It’s not MY reaction, I’ll put the video up when I can, and you guys can comment all you’d like. I’m not one to cry sour grapes though.

Just got a few pics emailed from a friend,… waiting on some good shots, but here’s a few from the weekend…

You looked great man
Congratulations, Stu!
Thanks for this thread, it’s been a great read.
Good luck on your next show!
While I think we’re going to be waiting on the pro pics for a couple of weeks, I’ll post up what people send me as they come in. The video make take a few days, as my computer doesn’t seem to recognize my camera anymore (my computer kinda sucks). I will keep updating, as I figure the real interesting stuff will be seeing what changes from show to show, considering the first two are so close, and then there’s a 4 week gap before the last.
To reiterate the last few days of body weights…
The start of last week saw me at about 177/178 lbs.
Friday(before the show) morning had me at 175.5 lbs (after cutting carbs all week)
Saturday of the show, after cutting water the day before around 4:30pm, I weighed in at 173 lbs
After eating ‘very well’ since the show, I weighed in this morning at 178 lbs, most likely a hell of a lot of water and ‘intestinal bulk’ (my system’s a little “off” since the contest)
I’m not going to go crazy with the 2x a day cardio sessions or anything like that, but I did resume the morning steady state for 30 mins today, and will run it through the week (will drop it next week when I play with carbs and water again). My split will be the same, 6 days, with 2 of them as abs and intervals. My calories and macros will be what they were about 2 weeks ago, roughly 2400 cals, and carbs only from my morning oatmeal and pre-workout finibars.
Should be an interesting couple of weeks ![]()

Impressive! I knew you would bring it this year. Based on the pictures, you present the most impressive upper body hands down. In some of the photos, I could see how the judges might have gotten on you for your legs being relaxed at times.
BIG improvement compared to last year… including the tan! I’m a pretty pale dude and last year I only applied 1 coat of pro-tan the night before. Showered in the morning… and everything came off haha. I ended up CAKING on the dream tan before I went on stage. How did you go about applying the tan and what did you use?
I just started prepping for a show that is 13 weeks away and seeing this is the perfect motivation to start things off. Great job Stu! Can’t wait to see you continue shredding down for the next shows… if that’s possible lol.
For the Tan, I used 3 coats of Pro Tan on Friday, and then used DreamTan #2 (Red Bronze) on Saturday morning (with a little Pam cooking spray on top!)
Just got a few more pics from my brother’s girlfriend, here’s a shot from the overall posedown. I won’t comment except to say that the guy to my left (in the green) was the overall winner.
