I don’t think there would be any significant legal issues with the right disclaimer.
A couple years ago there was no need for this type of forum becuse EC and MR (as well as Dr. Ryan for awhile) each kept an active thread in the Authors’ Lockerroom. They each answered dozens of sports injury questions on a daily basis.
So +1 for the forum. I also agree with C_C that it should have some restriction on all of the “e-doctors” that read the last injury prevention article. It could be a Cell, tighter moderation or just eveluate the content after a short trial period to see if problems arise.

I don’t even think it needs that much complication. The threads are here anyway, they are just scattered in all the other sections. They could just locate them in one place.
i vote yes…however people need to be smart about it,bc u dont want any joe shmo diagnosing an injury that could be a bad idea . people shouldnt use the internet in place of a doc to save money and experiment.but thats my 2 cents
People here have been around to varying degrees and just hearing how people trained around or rehabbed stuff I think is an excellent idea.
I’m all for it.
As to bad information, if a member of the by and large retarded population takes bad advice and injures themselves further, I say let evolution take its course. However, there is enough intelligence and experience and this board that I think bad advice will be exposed and shat on rather quickly.
If it is of limited access, people asking for advice will not be able to do so freely and may end up posting in other forums or not posting at all, limiting the collection of what could turn into a good amount of knowledge and progress on injuries, treatment, success rates of protocols, etc.

Vote yes…I know a lot of the information on this site about injuries I’ve had in the past has really helped me out.
And as far as the joe shmoe goes, I agree with the earlier idea of a sticky explaining that this is no replacement for a visit to a medical professional in person. At least then T-Nation…maybe?..doesn’t have to worry about liability.
Then it’s people’s own problem if they decide to use it in place of a doctor…
As someone who has herniated my lower back and restored it back to health with Cressey’s lower back savers articles and help from the forum I vote yes.
I used to see a lot of injury questions in the beginners forum. Not because they necessarily belonged there, but because there was no other place that made more sense.
I vote for the injury forum.
Good luck at getting a response from Management FattyFat.

Let’s get this as done as a 16 year-old boy pulling-out on Prom Night.

You went to the Prom when you were 16? Were you really smart or really easy?[/quote]
I’m not sure where you attended HS, but going to the Prom when you’re a Junior doesn’t make a chick smart or easy… not that there’s anything wrong with that. It’s not science–just gotta have a late birthday.

Fatty, maybe contact TC directly or so (if that is possible) or ask Stu/X to do it? I dunno… Maybe there really are legal reasons involved.
