That is clever. My respect if you are benching all that weight without a spotter. Bench turns me into a big wussy even with my tiny 70# load.

I wouldn’t bench to the chest without a spotter with more than 160-165 or so. The three-board is a lot easier, since it’s all triceps. I have some real boards, but I can’t really use them without assistance.

Just heard about the job. Offering it to someone with more experience specific to the position, but they liked me, my references were great, I was a pleasure to interview. Fuck this.
Bogus. You will land something soon. I want in on this warped plan also!!
The jobs I have available are:
I must say, knocking of hungry sounds better then basic cable!!
But really, I want to be one of those “dumb” blondes that is really a secret ninja with mad skillz.

HEY!! WTF Toots?!?
NOT.COOL.
HI PMPM!!
Hey Lindsay,
why not just do floor presses then? just curious! ![]()
Well hey there princess!
love the pic of your boobs- i mean, your rigged up 3 board press! genius!
you said you dont bench over 165 without a spotter… i hate going over 135 without a liftoff. ugh.

Oh yea. Me neither.
Nice benching there. The self three board is pretty cool as well.

One of my problems in competition is remembering and coordinating my leg drive, so I pretty much avoid anything where I am not in competition form (arch + leg drive).
Plus, I’ve found with floor presses (I’ve only done them with DBs) my left shoulder tendon thingy (goes down the front side of the delt) gets pretty painful pretty quickly. I don’t know why it does that with a DB and not as much with a barbell bench.

Maybe without the leg drive/arch it’s tougher to get your upper back tight?

That could definitely be it. I don’t even know how to bench flat-backed anymore. ![]()

I’m with you there. You should see when I do floor presses. I end up with an arched back trying to use leg drive and it is a fucking thing of interest.
Worked up to 3x2x275, then 1x275, 0x275, 1x275.
I’m working on getting the bar more into my body. This means more bruises. They don’t show well in the pic, but they’re worse than my usual equipment bruises.
Then, 3x5x225, 3x2x275, 3x315 rack pulls (sumo, from workout step thingys)
RDLs, 5x6x135
Red Woody band (doubled into a loop) side step walky things - 3x8 steps/side
Then, I made the doubled Woody band into a figure 8, with a thigh in each loop. I did a few bodyweight squats and the band really forced me to push against it with my knees. Boy, did that wake up my ass! I did several sets of bar squats with this figure 8, and think I will use it more to remind me to push my knees out throughout the squat.
I’m thinking if there are no bruises after deadlift day, then we’re not working hard enough. Do you pull sumo or conv.?

Sumo.
I noticed something weird last night, and maybe y’all have some thoughts. I pull standing outside of the power cage. I started with the bar centered, and noticed that it kept moving to the right as I went through my workout.
I also noticed that my left hip felt a lot looser - like it’ll pop forward without any effort if I’m just kind of slouching with my weight on my left leg, and my right hip, I actually have to pop forward in the same situation.
I’m thinking I’m twisting or something when I’m deadlifting. I don’t know. I guess I need to do some video.
Video from different angles.
I’ve noticed that every once in awhile, I don’t pull the bar straight up and down either. I pull sumo with my feet sorta close to the plates, so I’m skeered that one day I’ll drop this shit on my foot!
Shoot a vid head on.
No vids yet. I’ve been doing some more stretches and feel more balanced. I dunno.
Today:
Carry cabinets upstairs for Daddy-O.
Also:
Squat 20x135, 3x10x135. Got a sick lower back pump and wanted to cry.
Hanging leg lifts, weighted planks with 70, some farmer walks, a bunch of DB snatches. Today was cardio day.
Yesterday, benched up to a couple of singles at 165, trying to maintain the chest pause but probably pushing too fast. I really need a damn spotter.
Sunday - off.
Saturday - Deadlifted up to a few triples at 275. I’m feeling better about what is wrong with my deadlift…now to make it right.
Screw your 165 bench lady, seriously, screw it

Your bruises are sexy. They almost make me want to make a trip up to CO just to see them in person (almost). Instead, you should come do a meet in Cali. I’ll come watch as long as it’s in SoCal. Also, your bench makes me super jealous of you. I’m scared to lift with my club over the holidays when I’m at home… something about training by yourself without anyone remotely strong around you for 4 months makes you realize you are developing awful habits AND that you now are a pussy when it comes to moving big weight. That’s my sob story, but I was really dropping in to tell you that I hate your bench. That is all ![]()
Court! Hi.
PS-Lindsay, your friend never wrote back, so maybe you can reassure her I am not a crazy person? well, I kinda am, but thats besides the point… ![]()
