Spike--Need Advice, Help!

I’ve been a very satisfied user of Spike, Surge, Power Drive, other Biotest products, but I have a problem I hope someone can help with, Chris an Admin or another member. I’ve used Spike since the first version, yellow capsules, came out. Fantastic. I buy the Caffeine-Free and caffeine caps now, will use one a day, occasionally two, mainly for great mental focus, not so much as a training boost.

My problem is this: truth be told, when I need mental focus and complete calm when it really, really counts, I still find one original yellow Spike capsule works the best. But I’m almost out of them, only four left, I have husbanded them for “special” days. I’ll continue to use current Spike caps, of course, and they work, but differently, and I’d like to know if any of you have experienced the same difference I’m referring to, and if so, what have you done to use a combo of current Spike and perhaps something else to achieve that ideal state that at least I had and have from original Spike. Would really appreciate any advice you can give.

Yup, I was a responder to the first version of Spike, and am completely non-responsive to both newer versions.

I have a slight reaction to the Spike Shooter, but nothing like the first version.

Didn’t come up with any good substitutes, but I’d be interested to see any as well.

Thinking about it, I’ve had differing reactions to Biotest supplements which usually go along with any tweaks they make. I can respond well to a certain supplement (MD6, Alpha Male, Power Drive, Spike) then Biotest makes changes to make it “better” (Red Bands, Alpha Male, PowerDrive, Spike) and it suddenly does absolute jack for me.

Then they’ll tweak it again (HOT-ROX - Regular and Extreme) and I’m back to being a responder.

Go figure.

I still order Power Drive but more for CNS recovery than any mental boost.

I currently have the yellow capsules and i can fall asleep after an hour of taking just one. If i take two i can get in two to threes hours of focus but it wears off pretty fast after that.

Thanks, I appreciate your response–even though it doesn’t solve the problem, it helps to know that’s the way it goes sometimes, “go figure” being the operative word. It’s just that the original, pre-tweaked was SO amazing for me. I use Power Drive for training intensity, not mental focus, and Surge clearly does its thing post-workout, etc. But that Spike was in a class by itself.

OK, it’s about time for a new update of Spike, maybe a new tweak will do the trick. The moral for me, have to relearn it again and again, kind of like when I find a pair of pants or a casual shirt I like, is to double up at that moment, chances are good when you look for it again, it will have disappeared!

Just go to the Biotest store and buy the original yellow version (@0.62 cents/pill). Problem solved.

Yeah, not sure - when did they change it? I ordered Spike not so long ago and it was still yellow…did they just change it?

Thanks, but…regrettably, that’s not the “original”, capsule version. That’s the caffeinated caplet, distinguished from the white, non-caffeinated caplet. The original capsule had a powder inside, they made it for a couple of months, then changed to caplets. I did try the yellow caplet, ain’t the same, but thanks anyway for trying.
