Pre-Workout Energy Boosters?

I am usually pretty tired before workouts, and while my music gets me pumped, i’d like some extra help to get me going. I tried looking on the internet for some pre-workout energy drinks, but didnt really find much…I dont want to get powder mix, just a little RTD bottle/shot. Anything you guys use or reccomend?

Thanks in advance for the help

Myself I use Power Drive about 45 minutes before workout and Spike Shooter about 15 minutes before.

I am NOT a morning person whatsoever in any way shape or form, but pretty much need for workouts to be in the morning. The assistance is very vital for me.

Check out the Biotest Store here on this site. You’ll find what you are looking for in there. Personally, I love Spike Shooters - half a can pre-workout does the trick every time.

I have not tried anything else in the Spike line of products, but that’s only because I’ve been so pleased with the Spike Shooters. BTW - free shipping in the US on any size order.

Yeah, I know I sound like a fanboy, but that’s my honest opinion.

I did note you’re not interested in a powder. For me personally I’d say the Spike Shooter alone still gives about 70% or better of the effect of the combination and is still quite good.

People around here love Spike. Comes in a few different flavors and formulas. Its sold here on the site. Look into it and check it out at the store —> T Nation Biotest Store

well, i ordered the $59 pack of the lemon slice Spike Shotgun cans. hopefully it does the trick. thanks for the help.

on a side note, i got an error when trying to return back to the site after i paid through paypal, is that normal?

If any hasstles, ust email their customer service they are top class

Jeez it really is a fan boy club ^^

leme differ from the norm. Go for a light slow jog. Not far, just get warm. Helps me on early mornning lifts or just a pick me up when i know there is a loonnnggggg day ahead of me

I hear HOT-ROX Extreme and Caffeine-Free Spike are awesome - have not tried it.

Upon rising, I am considering Power Drive + 5g of D-Ribose and then 10 mg of vinpocetine with my first meal/shake (which would be before hitting the gym).

Although HRX is a product I developed and Spike Shooter is not, personally I rate the Spike Shooter way above HRX for being a workout booster.

The Caffeine-Free Spike tablet is, for those not clear on it as I’m sure you are, a completely different product than the Spike Shooter. It is not a stimulant that I am compatible with personally, as individuals can vary – but many like it a great deal.

My problem is that I do not seem to respond to Spike Shooters or Spike Shotguns. Once in a while, I think I respond to the Spike Double Shot (the whole bottle), but I seem to not be able to respond to caffeine at all. I can pass out after a Spike Shooter.

And it is not a tolerance issue. I stopped taking anything caffeinated on a regular basis over 2 years ago, and yes, that includes soda/coffee.

I read about some enzyme that is responsible for the metabolism of caffeine and that people like me seem to lack this enzyme. I am not sure why but I would love to know.

Hence, why I need to play around with nootropics. Caffeine just doesn’t give me a boost. I can’t seem to find literature on the net about this ‘condition,’ either.

You must also be yohimbine-insensitive.

Go with all the good cheap shit that has been proven to work.

Caffiene
B Vitamins
Yohimbine
Ephedrine

Instead of using stimulants, you should try to fix the cause of the tiredness.

What has been working for me is SuperPump 250 about 45 min. before and then a mix of glutamine and creatine about 20 min. before. Helps me get in my dosage per day as well

Three puffs on an albuterol inhaler and a cup of coffee.

Not too stylish, but it works for me.

I’m in the same boat as you, I tried the full Spike tabs the other day and it worked great. But now it doesn’t seem to have an effect, I took a nap 20 mins after taking a Spike.

Piece of fruit. It gets me in the zone.

I’m being completely serious here.

I usually have 1/2 a whey shake with it, but on days I’ve skipped the fruit, I just notice a difference.

Do not deny the power of citrus. It’s futile.

Coffee.

2 cups; no sugar, no cream.

I had a mixture of 5g BCAAs 5g Glutamine 5g Creatine Mono. Worked very well. Now I’m trying caffeine free Spike and it rules my life.
