SPIDEY: Let's Get You Shredded

How short is your torso?!

I wouldnt worry about your weight, as soon as you build up some momentum you will be good.

lol my torso is probably that of someone 5’9" lol. Multiples times I’ve met someone while sitting down or something, and will look average height or even shorter compared to everyone else. Then we stand up, and people are like "ohh wow, I didn’t expect you to be so tall lol.

Yeah, I would like the momentum to go ahead and get rolling before I go back to school next in 6 days, but not really happening lol.

Leaning out nicely

Good progress Spidey and thanks for posting the measurements!

Now completely forget about them until you’re completely done, haha. Just go by the mirror.

Energy levels are fun while dieting. On a positive, as your body adjusts you’ll actually get used to it and maybe even feel better. I feel great working out on low carb… but I’m always ready for bed by 10pm, heh.

…he doesn’t know you very well does he?

Are you sleeping long enough? You been getting fresh air and lots of sun? Little things can change your energy levels too.

Keep this log and when you go through this prep again experiment with eating more carbs on a daily basis to prove to yourself what works and what doesn’t. This is a lifestyle that is measured in years and decades not weeks and months so you will have these bumps in the road again one day.

Yeah sleep is more then sufficient, and I think I’m hitting my stride again with the lower energy levels. But yeah, that’s why I really like logging this stuff here, not just to share with ya’ll, but also for reference later on. Thank you for all your advice so far, ConservativeDog, btw You’ve been extremely helpful

Sorry for lack of updates. I’m 196 right now, getting leaner. But I’m back at school, and just been extremely busy. Taking 2 days off lifting, and then right back at it, though I’ve been following macros and cardio the whole time.

Man WKU starts early!

Well actually it’s because I’m an RA, so I go back 2 weeks early for training and this thing for Freshmen called MASTER Plan where I basically show them the ropes for a week. lol

It’s fun but very time consuming, busy all day, having to hit the gym at 6-7am. lol

Hey Spidey. Nice progress over the last few months. I look forward to training like you do once i get done playing ball. My one question is do you notice a difference, in terms of your body comp, strength and energy levels between eating clean and utilizing the “if it fits your macros” strategy?

Well, I don’t really notice that much. Veggies seem to be the difference maker, as long as a I get a few servings in a day energy levels are good, along with digestion being better and stuff. For me, getting in veggies/water and not depending on caffeine are more important for energy levels over which particular food I’m getting calories from.

Thanks for following along, btw. Appreciate the support.

Interesting. I wish i could eat poptarts and then go train like you do. Good luck with your cut by the way. I imagine you will look pretty good at a lower bf%.

Actually, I have switched to a pre-WO meal of coffee + whey, and cream of rice + natty PB. Works well for me, digests easy.

And thank you, it’s coming along, though stressful job/school stuff right now has made dieting more difficult then before. lol

I was 195 this morning guys. Fat loss is coming slowly it seems.

On your last pics of this thread, (p 26) what do you thik you BF% is around? Because I look pretty similar in terms of ‘‘leanness’’

Man I seriously have no idea. I basically the last year or so, if someone asks, just say 15% bf. lol.

I’m assuming mid teens, but I really just don’t know

Oh ok. I saw John Meadows eat something like that pre-workout in a video. Is that where you got it from? I like that idea regardless of who you got it from and will try that that out soon.

Productive summer Spidey … Nice work!

And regarding the above, my pre-workout is similar - oatmeal, whey, and natty PB - which I got off an Antoine Vaillant video he did with Frank McGrath. Not sure if they were using it pre workout … But it tastes good, and the video is pretty funny if you pull it up

Man you gotta change that avatar, Sam. Ryan Braun was my favorite player, but what an absolute disgrace to the game and a slap in the face to the fans. If MLB really wanted to take a stand, Braun should have been suspended for 200 plus games, not A-Rod. Suspending an aging former star who the majority of fans hate was too easy, didn’t take any balls on the part of Selig. Sorry for the off topic, Spidey!

Hai guizz

Weighing in at 194. Behind schedule, but I have faith because I’m definitely on a roll right now with fat loss
