Thanks for the input Waittz.
I should have been a bit more detailed. I have kind of a crappy shoulder that pops in and out of place, so pressing gives me issues to some degree anyways with a straight bar, as opposed to DB’s wear I can kind of turn my hands in a more natural position. But Incline BB is just fine, I just don’t like it as a ‘Power’ movement, because when I’m focusing on power, I’d prefer a movement that, ya know, I’m not concentrating on just getting the lift right, but instead just pushing weight. I feel I can do that a bit better with DB’s, putting my hands in a ‘safer’ position.
Funny what you suggested though, because Jake and I talked, and I’m changing to something very similar to what you suggested. I’m changing to DB Incline on ‘Power Push’ day, and on my last chest movement of ‘Volume Push’ day, I wil be doing Wide Grip Incline BB for 12-15 reps, because I actually like the lift when using lighter weight and wide grip for reps. haha
Great minds think alike it seems. [/quote]

And I am the king of fucked up shoulders. My SC and AC joints are basically held together with bubble gum and scotch tape at this point.
Ill be willing to bet that after about 8 or so weeks of doing your Incline BB like that you will have the lift feel so right you will give it a power try again. After my first pec tear I all but gave up flat BB until recently, but got to a point where it was my main lift. Was doing double and triple rep sets in the 300s for a time and after that, my chest shoulder development was never the same. Was like the tipping point. Ive also never seen anyone who can incline BB a large load with poor shoulder developement.
