Not sure on attendance, but I know there are a good deal of guys and a LOT of women from my gym who compete in it, so it’s obviously a pretty big show, definitely the ‘big’ one in the Louisville area
LOL sorry, hard to decipher things over the interwebz sometimes. Thanks for the support from both WhiteFlash and Curls4Girls though!
Yesterday was an off day. Sadly some things came up, only got to really eat twice, so fit my macros all into 2 huge meals, while have kind of a shitty water intake. Woke up looking pretty lean though, so not a big deal. lol

I would agree it was playful suggestion to eat more.
You got two things going for you. You’re a young guy and you have put it on the line for everyone to see your progress. That encourages the majority here to look out for you and to respect the difficult period you’re going through.
Hell most guys your age are sitting on their thumbs wondering eh, what happened?
Did Push Power today. And… just wasn’t my day. lol
Had no explosiveness today, just didn’t feel good. Actual workout (like lifts, sets, ect) was GREAT, just one of those day. Woke up congested, felt drowsy all day. Idk, just going to not let it get to me lol
However, doing lifts today, really thinking of switching out BB Incline for DB Incline, and just Strict Press instead of Push Press.

Thanks man. I only got a week or so of eating more, though, as then it’ll be time to cut. I am trying to put it all out there though, and any advice, whether positive or negative, is always welcome.

why?[/quote]
Well the Incline Bench at my gym is a pretty steep angle. Doing it is basically ALL delt there, which isn’t the case with DB’s. And then yesterday when doing Push Presses, my shoulder started to ‘click’ which it hasn’t done in a while, but isn’t a good sign. So I did some strict press and figured the lighter weight would be easier on my shoulder, and didn’t feel bad.
EDIT: Also, with Incline BB, I will admit I just don’t care for the lift. I haven’t progressed on it much I feel, it’s an awkward lift for me, and I just prefer DB’s.

Do you even poptart?
Just my opinion here, but based on that reason alone you should not switch. If it is an awkward lift it just means you arent very good or efficient at it, which wont get corrected without doing the lift. Just start over with it, leave your ego at home and go in there with some baby weight and relearn the lift and start over progression wise.
This might also help, stretch your anterior delts good before each set, use a wider grip and really focus on pulling the bar to your chest, not lowering it. Incline BB has done more for my delts and pecs than anything else. Also try doing it last in your routine, when your chest is fully pumped. Going into the Incline BB ‘fresh’ with any kind of weight bellow 12 reps will feel very ‘awkward’ as you put it when your shoulders are not VERY warmed up if you havent yet ‘mastered’ the movement path.
also this is like 105% broscience here but if your rear delts are weak or not up to par compared to the rest of your shoulder your incline BB will suck.
I should have been a bit more detailed. I have kind of a crappy shoulder that pops in and out of place, so pressing gives me issues to some degree anyways with a straight bar, as opposed to DB’s wear I can kind of turn my hands in a more natural position. But Incline BB is just fine, I just don’t like it as a ‘Power’ movement, because when I’m focusing on power, I’d prefer a movement that, ya know, I’m not concentrating on just getting the lift right, but instead just pushing weight. I feel I can do that a bit better with DB’s, putting my hands in a ‘safer’ position.
Funny what you suggested though, because Jake and I talked, and I’m changing to something very similar to what you suggested. I’m changing to DB Incline on ‘Power Push’ day, and on my last chest movement of ‘Volume Push’ day, I wil be doing Wide Grip Incline BB for 12-15 reps, because I actually like the lift when using lighter weight and wide grip for reps. haha
