It looks cool. venom rocks and the shot of Sandman was great.
Is there any chance at all we can not have the same conversation about Topher or Tobey or whoever being too skinny?

Probably not. Hehe. Anyhow, they filmed a few scenes at the court house where I’m interning. The guy in the spider suit has decent size. It’s not Tobey. I don’t care if Peter Parker is skinny. He’s supposed to be a nerdy guy. Even in the suit, spiderman was never known for his size. A skinny spiderman doesn’t detract for me the way a skinny Superman would.
may 4th? as in 2007 may 4th? damnit
if spiderman 4 ever happens maybe they’ll have venom’s offspring, carnage, in it. He would be a badass enemy.

Looks great. I didn’t like Spiderman 2 that much. I think the ending (the whole leave him at the alter thing) was cheesy as hell. It looks like they might really do the story well with the next one. All it needed was Venom anyway.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Topher Grace should have been Spiderman.
Spidey is known for his smartass attitude. Who plays smartass characters? Topher Grace. Damn you, Raimi. At least he put him in eventually.
I heard before that Kleetus Kassidy (Carnage’s human host) was supposed to have a cameo in one of the movies, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
Either way, they’ve finally done Venom, my favourite Marvel character. Only problem is, every loser is going to be walking around in a Venom shirt, making my Venom shirt uncool. Oh well, I finally bulked out of medium tees anyway.
I thought venom was supposed to be a huge mofo. Every rendering I’ve seen basically showed it that way. Either way, it’s a cool inclusion to finally have him.
I definitely agree with the Carnage thing, that enemy was awesome.

Carnage does rule…
For the record, that’s not Venom. That’s the same symbiote suit that BECOMES Venom later (Spidey eventually shuns the symbiote who later joins with another person that blames Parker for the loss of his job, which that creates Venom). It looks like they are building to that with this story. If there is a part 4, I would assume Venom would make his appearance there. Unless he does at the end of 3…

Ya I thought that wasn’t Venom. I’ve heard the same thing that Venom doesn’t appear in this one, but his story is built up. I believe they’ve signed for a 4th movie already.
Sounds like too much going on in one movie though. I mean the whole symbiote story, Sandman and Goblin? Are they sure they’ve got enough film?
And it was Eddie Brock who became venom (I think that could be the guy in the trailer that says “Parker?”).
Hope its executed well but I already have my doubts.
