Spider Veins

EUUUWWW!! I noticed I have a couple of spider veins (small spot of tiny broken capilliaries)on my right thigh. Is it possible to prevent these? What is most effective to get rid of them-Laser therapy or saline injection? Any info would be appreciated!

Hey…those things suck. I’m not too sure about how the laser sugery is but my aunt just recently got the saline opereation done. It was pretty painless for her and it worked pretty well. The only thing was that they can only treat really small viens via this method…i would check out the laser option and price compare.

As far as I know, it’s genetic. And the laser surgery is probably your best option.

I just read that grape seed extract(which is a good antioxidant, and prevents occular degeneration)also helps strengthen the walls of blood vessels, arteries and veins and is therefore an aid in the prevention of varicose veins, I’m sorry but I can’t recall dosages suggested.

I don’t have varicose veins and neither does anyone in my family, but maybe the grape seeds will help. I do remember slamming my leg (same spot)into the end of a bench bar a while ago-left me with a nice bruise, maybe that had something to do with it.

How to get rid of them, I am not too sure about that. But how to prevent them, try eating the righn off oranges and grapefruits. They are so post to have nutrients in them that prevent spider veins.

I had a couple of patches of spider veins on my thighs too. I had them lasered last January. The improvement period is gradual and lasted about 3 months for me, then they were gone. YEAH!

I did have some periodic tingling in my thighs during the improvement period, nothing painful, but just kinda weird.

It cost about $300 and was done in the doctor’s office. Its been over a year now and I haven’t had any return. But, if they do, I know I’d go the laser route again.
