SPECIAL REPORT: Unleash the Full Anabolic Potential of Food

Did you notice that these are guys who have 1 post and just got in… They have no arguments and I am not defending Biotest, it is just that if you want to go against a problem, have some clear, insightful and conclusive arguments.

Still, I hope TC cites an unbiased conclusive study about Leucine effectiveness (I apologize if it has already been done)

So i was checking out the AJINOMOTO web page
and it looks like they sell 1kg for $324 and you guys sell 900g for $45

what is the difference?

maybe valine and isoleucine are getting mad that they’re not the alpha BCAAs

BCAA envy?

We now have at least 3 protocols for nutrition around training:

1.Surge alone
2.Surge plus extra BCAA
3.Surge plus extra BCAA plus extra leucine
4…

I once read Berardi stating that Surge alone would be enough but he later stated that extra BCAA would be beneficial.

Does anyone here add extra Leucine too and notice a reduction in DOMS?

Is there a secret to mixing this with water? I put 5 grams in with 6 oz. of water and shook, and all it did was make a raft of styrofoam that was hard to get down.

Love you boys at T-Nation and rep you all day every day for years. But l-leucine isn’t anything that ground breaking and smart little meatheads have been using it for several years now. Still you guys do offer a money back deal so if for some reason a buyer is not satisfied at least they’re aren’t totally screwed.

BTW,it works quite well for increasing muscle density and cutting down on your recover time. From my own personal experience.

x2, it wasn’t bad till it came time to drink the foam, gross, it’s like the powder clumps on top the water

when did they say they were the 1st to bring it to market?

LMAO… well said sir.

BCAAs are hydrophobic. (Yeah, I know it’s just leucine, but leucine is a BCAA.) So mixing them with water takes a long, long, long time.

Better to use crystal lite. That masks the bitter taste that BCAAs have in water. Shake and chug.

I suppose since it’s only 5 grams that you could mix it with some cottage cheese. Then again, cottage cheese is already rich in leuicine. So I’m not sure how you “pimp your food” with it.

how come Leucine is in powder form, yet BCAAs by Biotest are in pill?

I’d like to see you guys come out with a powdered BCAA, seeing as how much CT and others recommend, it would make it easier.

As of now I buy another company’s BCAA powder, but would love to give Biotest more money

I wouldn’t mind seeing both. Keep the BCAA pills and make a powder. I use another company’s BCAA powder peri-workout. But like the convenience of Biotest pills if I want to take BCAAs in between meals.

I think Patterson or TC stated that Biotest could not make BCAA powder any cheaper than what is already out there on the market, so no point in competing I guess.

I am surprised that pills can be that much more expensive than powder form. At the mega dosing levels some coaches prescribe, I’d go through a bottle of BCAA tabs in a week.

The pills are MUCH more expensive than powder. And I completely trust the company I get powder from. But then pills always are. It’s not the fault of Biotest.

This stuff works great! I have a high protein/low carb diet that is a lifestyle, not just a temporary thing and when I started adding leucine a week ago, 4x per day, I notcied that my weight was going up on the same amount of protein calories. Im sold and for the quality Biotest claims the price was right too.

I just dump a scoop in my mouth and swish with water, swallow and eat a 1/4 apple then munch 5 eggs. quick and dirty

Fearless

If science could prove with out a doubt that donkey shit would make us jacked then you know we would eat it.

its all about the results baby, who cares what it tastes like?

I just purchased the new product “Leucine”. In the article it recommends no more than 20g aday. I also use Biotest BCAA and Surge which also have a certain amount of leucine in them. Should I be concerned in using too much leucine or can I still use 20g Leucine, take the BCAA and Surge on top of that amount?

Thanks Steve

Already asked and answered. It doesn’t matter… post is somewhere in this thread.

You’re right… actually after trying your method I find it’s not even that bad. Much better than trying to mix it in water. Just have to work on my skills to get the entire scoop in my mouth
