I’m so glad that they stuck with the series after Andy died. The Spartacus story has always been one of my favorites and I think that the show has captured a lot of the gist of the real events…what little is known of them. I’ll be interested to see how they handle it from here.
Also its about the only way I’ll ever get the missus to watch porn with me.
That season finale was just plain badass. There is no other way to describe it. It totally made up for the shitty first 4 episodes. I don’t want to spoil anything for those that haven’t seen it yet, but this is probably the second best episode of the entire series. Be prepared to say goodbye to a lot of characters, though.

AWESOME!!!
And I’m not what you would call a fan just an occasional viewer.

NOW you see what I’ve been talking about! Walking Dead can’t hold a candle to this show.
This show DELIVERS. On everything, every time.
SPOILERS
My one gripe is having Naevia killing Ashur one-on-one. C’mon now, that’s just too much of a reach for me.
However, Lucretia more than made up for that small flaw. What a way to go out!

Yeah, they really deliver on these season finales. I agree about his death, very anticlimactic. I would have preferred to see him go down taking out a dozen or two Romans single handed before finally being overwhelmed. And that Naevia/Ashur fight was kind of stupid. I am very happy what they have done with Gannicus, though. I like his character much more in this season than in the prequel. He is much more mature now.

She didn’t kill him one on one. get real. He was playing with her. He stopped, and did to much talking, and naevia, to advantage and surprised attacked ashur. she pulled an Ashur, lol. I always thought that Lucretia was going to kill Ashur. I knew all along that Lucretia was planning something. She played everyone nicely.

I would have enjoyed your version better than the show.

They wrote a very satisfying death for Him. I laughed, I smiled, I ate popcorn and replayed it over 3 times.
Same with Ashur, he would’ve been great as the sole survivor of the enemy.
I somewhat picture him abandoning all hope as he fought Naevia.
Would they have let him live if he finished her? Doubtful, the mountaintop was to be his grave-
that’s why he let his guard down, in my opinion, at least. He was done.
Luci Lawless went with flair.
Glaber will be hard to replace. Terrific actor.
The Spartacus dude looked better and better.
The fight scenes were *****

To this, add creative freedom and some bs and the show can go anywhere.
Mebbe, but wherever the show would go if Spartacus turned his back on the tens of thousands that were crucified would probably be a shitty place.
I disagree.
I they pull a “I’m Spartacus!” NO, I’M…" I’ll be annoyed like good Cossutius during a swiss-organized orgy.
Since I was a boy, I pondered on why Spartacus didn’t leave the Empire with his forces when the path was clear.
There are a lot of possibilites, I hope they’ll explore a different one the Kubrick.
Spartacus could have been a bitter reaver by the time they had the upper hand.
Painting him as a liberator is so…commy.
p.s. I’ll post hot pics of Miss Law if someone gets the swiss joke (doubtful).

Just a thought. As with any warrior, boxer, anyone that has ever fought. This probably would go for a soldier, gladiator also. Its difficult to know when to walk away from a fight. You fight to the bloody end. Thats why so many fighters find it so hard to retire. I know, Im talking about a sport, but I think it would apply here also. You don’t ever want to give up and walk away.

I love lucy lawless. she made this show. But as far as sexy pics go, shes a bit long in the tooth for my taste. I much prefer the girl that glabers wife killed. she slit her throat. Now shes more to my liking.
