Spartacus: Vengance

I have no idea why so many people here are watching the shit-fest that is The Walking Dead, yet the best show currently on TV, Spartacus, is being ignored.

Last episode was, again, amazing. Spartacus killed The Mountain That Rides FFS! Perfect writing, as that was exactly what had to happen to get the Germans to fall in line.

I like how the tables have turned on so many of the Romans. Lucretia used to force Crixus to fuck her on the regular, and now she’s getting raped daily by Ashur. Ilithyia has spent the better part of both seasons fucking her husband over royally, and now Glaber is doing some fucking of his own.

This show delivers, The Walking Dead does not.

Spoiler Nation?

Edit that shit asap!

speaking of which:
But FUUUUUCKYEAH did he brutalize the shit out of that german mountain!

Their particular german was a bit funny here and there but hey- I’m not an expert on ancient Suebian or Cheruscian dialects.

From a cineast’s perpective, building the conflict up slowly would have been even cooler, but the episodes now seem to rely on ending with a bang.

SPOILERS

I admit I had my reservations about the new Spartacus, but all that went to shit the second he cut that brute fuckers face off. It’s nice to have Spartacus remind everyone why he is the fucking alpha dog. And Gannicus is a whirlwind of death.

I yelled OH SHIT when that happened, totally brutal.

And I am also half rooting for Glaber for the reasons listed above, but I still hope Spartacus murders his ass.

Most people have Basic Cable = TWD. Not everyone has Starz = Spartacus.
And to much man on man lovin going on. Yeah I get it gay people can be tough too. Plus I know how Spartacus ends.

I’m not necessarily rooting for Glaber, but him and Ashur are one hell of a dastardly duo. Love to hate them is more how I feel.

So you know how the show ends?
Sources are scarce, and pretty much everything can happen with those great characters. Especially Spartacus’ fate is shrouded in mystery.

If it stays successful and strong, I’m very curious how they will interpret certain historical moments.

btw, your avatar is the reason I stopped reading the WD comics.
I hope they’ll never feature that nonsense into the TV series.

Lucretia is going to slit ashurs neck. Ashur us a pretting cunning dude, but lucretia is smarter. IN the end, she will slit his throat.

Gannicus is the man. He chopped up dozens of soldiers. not just killed them, but chopped them up. brutal. I still think that gannicus is the best fighter of any of them. Just my opinion. Spartacus only became the leader, cause Crixus got hurt, and spartacus killed that big mother and brought the rain. Gannicus actually earned his title.

Yes, we all know he dies, lol. But I was surprised to read, that he actually had like 70,000 soldiers with him. They killed a ton of roman soldiers before he was finally defeated.

If you read any actual history, you know how it ends. its not a mystery. Like all great soldiers, eventually, they get killed.

Lots and lots of crosses on the Via Appia?

-Caveat Lector!-

Gannicus might be the better swordsman, but is he a leader? I doubt it.

With him in the camp, it’s practicall overkill: Spartacus, Crixus, Onemeaus, Gannicus; Agron is also pretty good and probably eager to show his skill.
On the other hand: Crixus has beef with nearly everyone, as he hasn’t had a proper fight with either Spartacus nor Gannicus and is no fan of the Agron (probably repressed homosexuality).
Onemeaus kinda hates G. (also some repressed manlove, I bet; it’s getting worse since with Neavia he’s not getting any).
Spartacus has had FAR(!) too little futubio with superhotty Kathrina Law which is mighty suspicious.
So we can safely assume the season will end with an orgiastic display of redhot pectorials and podex.

So where did S. die exactly, pray tell?
Same with Glaber’s fate.

To this, add creative freedom and some bs and the show can go anywhere.

What on earth gave you the idea that hot, sweaty mano a mano action would be a problem on this show?

Frankly, I am grateful if two guys decide not to rub their hot, sweaty bodies together.

Cause, you know, you gotta have standards.

Anyhow, what makes this show special is not the buttfuckery, it is that they showed that one gladiator honestly liked, if not loved, his little boy toy in the first season.

That should be more unsettling than the whole sex thing.

Mebbe, but wherever the show would go if Spartacus turned his back on the tens of thousands that were crucified would probably be a shitty place.

They never claimed a body even though his army was defeated. I enjoy the show I just hate that expert killers couldn’t kill a middle aged wife and a crippled wanna be gladiator. I know they acted the parts well but those 2 should have died and let new bad guys come into play. But we deal the hands we are given as a tv audience.

While reading the history, it was some mountain side, I honestly don’t recall the name. but its easy to find. Just google and read. for whatever reason, I always thought spartacus was just a made up story. Till I read differently.
