there was/is lots of nudity in the show (guys and girls) but isnt that big of a deal if you’re a mature non homophobic dude. Just dont stare at the dudes dong when its on screen… Ok the one dude and his kid lover with the birds was pretty gay though
I’d be surprised if anyone here was too squeamish about seeing man dick on the screen, considering how it’s shown in pretty much all porn (excluding late night SkineMax).
and considering how much dick there is in every gym locker room. i think i am immune from seeing dick, it doesn’t phase me anymore. Most of that is probably due to playing with cadavers in human anatomy class, however.

Its going to be about the House of Batiatus before all this crap.
Starz has announced that Andy Whitfield aka “Spartacus” will be leaving the show. Apparently they were preparing to start shooting the second season (picking up from where season 1 ended) and his cancer returned. He has dropped any further plans of returning to the gladiator role to focus on his battle with cancer.
that really sucks. I’m sure the 6 prequel episodes will be good but I wonder what they will do as far as continuing with future seasons?

I really don’t mind. Spartacus was my least favorite character on the show.

Doctore FTW.
But how can you have a show called “Spartacus” without Spartacus??? That’s like having Magnum PI without Magnum! Or Buffy the Vampire Slayer and no Buffy!?!? What gives lol (I know those are terrible examples but they’re the only ones I could think of right now. I’m at the doctors office)

I never like main characters. The rest of the cast is always more interesting.
They’re doing the prequel miniseries without him, so why nots?
^^ yeah the prequel but it’s only 6 episodes. Maybe they’ll change that up and do a full length season that’s a prequel? But eventually they’ll have to catch up to regular time and pick the Spartacus storyline back up. Maybe if they do a full season or two of a prequel then the main guy would be able to come back and pick up where season 1 left lff

They really don’t have to come back to Spartacus. It was as good an ending as anything.
I am going to predict that after the little prequil series they return to season immediately following season I finale… I am going to predict that they just slip in a new actor as Spartacus and proceed as if nothing has changed.

Yup, they can easily just use another actor, and with the time lapse between seasons it will make the transition easier.

I agree it was a gold ending but the whole story of Spartacus leading all the raids and wrecking house on some Roman fucks will be completely lost. The story/season would just end after the prequel? That’d be lame.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I mean if they did take an entire season off for a prequel and you add that to the extended break between seasons viewers would kind of forget about Spartacus and it’d be easy to get someone similar to play the role without much of a change

TV shows always end really lame and shitty. Better this way.

I actually like the guy who played Spartacus. I felt he did a good job traversing savage and tactician. As far as ending the series at that point. Anyone who watched the show knows it only got BETTER as it went along. The first episode was trash and they ended up with one of the best shows on TV by the end of the season. So to say they should stop there is ludicrous. There is much more killing and debauchery still to be had.
