the season finale is the shit. it takes a little bit to pick up, but the last 20 minutes are amazing

Some fantastic moments between Spartacus and Crixus and the 3rd rebel gladiator Omeneus is revealed (I suspected it was him all along) but to see how all of the characters reach the point where they can’t take Batiatus anymore and they’re willing to rebel, it was fantastic.
Unfortunately Andy Whitfield, the actor who plays Spartacus, was diagnosed with lymphoma and production for the second season is on hold now.
Though the season finale sews up a lot of loose ends and now the larger story unfolds, this season can stand on it’s own as a nice conclusion.
Knowing the real history of Spartacus, I’m not going to enjoy what ultimately unfolds.
You can see it on Netflix too. I’m about to go watch the last one.
The thing that confused me is when the gladiator’s owners wife was beating Chrix’s woman as punishment, she asks for a knife at the end. Then Chrixes’s woman walks out fine at the end after Chrixes whipping.
I was cringing for 10 minutes thinking there was going to be some gruesome vagina mutilation or a de-boobing.

I think she just chopped all her hair off.
WHAT A FINALE!!! My jaw was on the floor the last 20 minutes of it. I think I even cheered on Aurelia.
Who else chills when Crixus tapped on his shield or when he yelled over to Doctore “Spartacus shows us the way!”

That was great when Crixus finally decides to go with Spartacus. There was some awesome dialog in this one, my favorite exchange was between Spartacus and Batiatus:
Batiatus: I gave you the means to accept your fate!
Spartacus: And now you are destroyed by it!

I cheered out loud when Spartacus got up to the balcony. Also when Varros wife went ape shit on that little prick that ordered his death. When the screen went red and all you saw was carnage it was amazing. Considering how this series started I am amazed how it ended and I am left wanting for much more. One of the best season finales I have seen in quite some time.
I enjoyed the whole series and the finale was frigging awesome. Cannot wait for the next series.

Single Greatest ending to a season of show in a long while. Blood Bath. They went straight up ape shit nuts.
Sad to see to good characters fall off. And I hope they can create a level of drama to match the action for next season if and when it comes.

I have been following it for a while, I love it. I am the first to say that there is never anything good on TV and has not been for a while.
I just got turned on to “The United States of Tara”. Its different and it does have me laughing.
Best show Ive seen in a long long time. They are discussing doing a 5 episode prequel in the downtime between seasons, while the main character deals with his lymphoma.

Hopefully. I mean it sucks that he has lymphoma but still, it would be a smart idea to not keep the fans waiting for a season that may not happen.
