With all this bad press about soy, I would like to know from the t-mag staff or anyone else, if there is any problem with using soy sauce? I go through tons of it and would like any information you have. Thanks.
I imagine that the answer is no. There is much less soy protein in normal quantities of soy sauce than soy protein supplements. Furthermore, soy sauce has added benefits like cancer prevention and other shiz. In other words, I really doubt any change in T-levels brought about by soy sauce could be anywhere near enough to affect training/muscle growth. Hope this helps.
Should be no problem as long as you use traditionally fermented soy sauce: this long fermentation process (6 months or so) neutralizes the mineral-robbing phytates and trypsin inhibitors. Good brand names are: Ohsawa Nama Shoyu unpasteurized soy sauce 2). Eden naturally fermented soy sauce 3). San-J naturally fermented soy sauce. Whole Foods/ Fresh Fields should carry these brands.
tho if he does go thru tons of it… he should be dead… or at least smell a lot like soy sauce
I’m not a big fan of soy but Steve is right - the fermentation process of fermented soy products is supposed to eliminate a lot of the bad stuff in the soy.
Ko is half-Japanese and I am half-Chinese - hence the gone “through tons of it”. It’s the primary way we “salt” our foods. We also buy the large containers of true Asian brands at our local Asian grocery store. Don’t buy the “round-eye” brands - he he he.
I’d like to add that it’s not just soy sauce but practically every sauce, condiment, seasoning blend etc. also contains soy…especially anything that tends to be low calorie such as butter substitutes, sprays etc.
I use soy sauce as a special asian lubricant, do you think this why my nuts shrank? Iif So will my nuts hang lower from estrefied scrot’ muscles too.
Thanks guy,
Gnor ham sap aaaaaa.
