Sore Wrist, Not Sure Why

My right wrist has been quite sore over the past couple of weeks, and I don’t know why. It hurts at the point between the thumb and wrist joint, but only if I move it in certain ways. It sucks, because that eliminates a number of exercises I would like to do. I can do heavy weighted pullups without pain, for example, but supinated movements hurt.

I looked at deQuervain’s tendonitis, but the self-test is negative. Anybody just get sore wrists from training?

Has the majority of the load of you presses been pushing between the thumb and palm instead of straight down the writs in the middle of the palm giving undue uneven stress??

Coulnd’t have said it better… got the same problem couple of months back… fish oil supplement will help.

I read your post with sympathy, having had this problem myself, but the title of it made me struggle to suppress a humerous response about your “sore wrist.”

Yeah, dynamic effort, high rep, supinated wrist extensions will do that.

That’s an interesting possibility. I don’t think so, but I’ll have to evaluate that.

Ha! What can I say? I am right handed.

It’s a bit weird. For example, regular biceps curls hurt like a bitch, but Zottman curls feel absolutely fine.

Mine used to really hurt so I started using straps on a few of my lifts to take some of the stress and now they feel fine. Before the straps I was to the point where it hurt to make a fist.

Quit masturbating so much and your soreness should go away within a week or so.
