Song Covers

The song ‘Nothing Compares’, made famous by Sinead O’Connor, was written by Prince.

‘City of New Orleans’ written by Steve Goodman, then covered WELL by Arlo Guthrie, Willie Nelson, The Allman Bros…

I like this one. Go go power rangers!

RIP Kevin DuBrow.

Kevin DuBrow is dead ?!?!
My Aunt is Dubrow’s ex-stepmom. So that makes me his ex step cousin I guess. I never met him, but his dad was pretty nice, to me at least.

Straight Outta Compton - originally by NWA covered by Nina Gordon

How I Could Just Kill a Man - covered by Rage Against the Machine originally Cypress Hill

Johnny Cash - Rusty Cage
Sheryl Crow - Sweet Child of Mine and D’yer Mak’er

I’m assuming you’re talking about the instrumental that won a Grammy. That is easily the best cover ever, and is one of my top 5 favorite songs.

I havent seen this up there but it is my fav. cover of all time and I think its better than the original

Man he can sing his ass off!! I have seen them live 6 or 7 times and they are never the same and never play the same set. When they drop the drums and bass in there with it it give me chills!! I went and saw Sinedown, Rob Zombie and Godsmack together in Charlotte, the best concert I have ever and more than likely will ever see and it was pouring its ass off

sorry i only read the first 4 pages b4 i posted, so sorry if this is a repeat.

Chop Suey- Avril Lavigne
(sorry I had to post it, listen at your own risk)

okay, now for some real music.

I might get flamed for this one, but I really like Green Day’s cover of Working Class Hero

Here is a cover of Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus by a smaller band that I really enjoyed, I love that song and its message so much.

Land of Confusion By Disturbed
I admit that I actually didn’t know this was a cover until the song by Disturbed was on the radio while I was flipping stations, then to my confusion I heard the original playing on another station, almost in time with the disturbed. confused the hell out of me.

Another Cover of Simple man, with Daughtry and Jason from Shinedown

Story Of The Year - Enter Sandman

Haven’t found a good quality vid but they performed this when they were in Arkansas, and killed it. They are simply the best live experience you can get, IMHO.

Zebrahead - “Wannabe” originally by the Spice Girls

Just a few on my i-pod.

Jason Mraz- Summer Breeze- Seals and Crofts

Velvet Revolver- Can’t get it out if my Head-ELO

Thank you! I didn’t know Three Days Grace covered that song. I love them. Also just saw that Stone Sour did, also.

Orion – Rodrigo y Gabriela (Metallica)

That is awesome!

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Tool’s Cover of “No Quarter” by Led Zeppelin.

Tool - No Quarter

Goofy picture, and the very tail end of the song is cut off. But who’s counting?
It had to be mentioned. If you hadn’t, I would have.
