Something isn't Right...

Thanks Brook, any links to articles or anything about periodization?

I admit this is all new to me as it’s never really been an issue. As I mentioned before I’ve platuead only once or twice in my life so the idea of taking extra rest/lowering volume etc has never really been relevant to my training. I suppose now that I’m this heavy I will have to start being a little more intelligent with my rest/training.
Google it man - there is tons, even just on this site.

And you have hit the nail on the head, and it is where i get a lot of business - as one progresses it becomes harder to keep getting gains.

By the time one is an experienced intermediate or advanced trainee, they need to be cunningly smart to trick the body to respond, as to put it in my home tongue ‘adapted as fuck’.

Think of it as the total opposite of newbie gains.

And - as i learnt not so long ago (one thing pesty said today that was correct - you never stop learning, even if you are a teacher), when it comes to steroid use adding more does not actually solve this problem for you.

It is a tough fucking game. It makes me love it all the more, especially as i know that this particular hurdle is the one that makes so many give up for life.

I jumped too fast and didnt read the responses here. I basically repeated what everyone else said.
I am sorry for wasting the space.
hope you feel better by now,Way

Aw, Brook you aren’t going to spoon feed me? WTF man! lol

NP Maddy, thanks bud I feel great now.

BTW how do you guys dose your dbol? I’ve been taking 20 mg’s ~40 mins before lifting and then another 20 immediately after, is this the best way to do it?

I dose mine morning and afternoon.
about 30-45 minutes before I go work out in the am and then one dose with my afternoon meal

the best way to dose it is IMO based on how you feel, everyone will react to dosing different if you are getting the results you are looking for then its the best way.

Also I really didn’t see any difference myself between dosing it before and after working out like you do, and upon waking and going to bed and the way I do it now.
its just I stick to this dosing schedule because its convenient I take it with a pre work out shake and a normal meal, easy to remember

I dose mine 15mg morning, 15mg pre workout (between 12 and 2pm,) and 15mg an hour or so before bed (9 or 10pm.)

I am using 5mg tabs though, so it is easier to split up.

Last run, I used 25mg caps, and I did one in the morning, and one an hour or so before bed.

hmmm thanks guys, I’ll try doing the first dose earlier and see if anything changes.

This dbol pump is brutal though, just walking around gives my lower back and calves an absolutely insane pump hah, it’s interesting.

I’m dosing mine 3x a day. I take 10 when I wake up, then 10 about an hour before my afternoon workout, then another 10 two hours before bed.

According to roidcalc, dbol seems to peak two hours after you take it.

That’s what I wanted to know, thanks.

OP, after you wean off breast milk. You can then be spoon fed. Crush one 5mg tab of dbol into powder and mix it with small amount of vintage port (for taste), then feed with a tea spoon.

lol!

How to take dbol the classy way.

On the periodization, I think it’s easy for someone getting into it to get into analysis-paralysis, or worse, to be so stumped as to give up and not do it.

Many powerlifters have very easy approaches. My intro to this was from Scott Warman’s method, which is very simple. What I referred to before was really that:
…you could likely do yourself a big favor by backing down to about 60% 1RM and working up by about 5% 1RM per week.

If you don’t have 1RM’s, an example would be, with that 405x5 bench, drop down to about 285-305 for 9 or 10 reps. Restrain yourself from using any higher weight that week. Then increase by about 20 lb per week, expecting to drop a rep or so per week.
Actually in Warman’s method you want the drop to be exactly a rep per week, or per 5 days or whatever if not using exactly a week inbetween.

Then the next cycle starts a little heavier and likewise ends a little heavier.

The presently-popular 5/3/1 method is also periodization and is not too complicated.

Wayy, you are a beast, no doubt. I’ve read thread’s of your’s where your wondering if your the only one who lifts 7 days a week… LOL! Your current training split (what you posted) call’s for an off day whenever you feel like it… but someone like you who is known to lift 7x a week is not quick to take a day off, especially on the cycle your on… Mix that type of training year round with a bit of insomnia/depression/new work load/new school load, and an already massive size… It’s going to be hard for your body to Grow!

I suggest you work on relaxation techniques an hour or so before bed to already start mentally winding down to help with your sleep, no t.v., no computer, no electronics, nothing… Sleep 9 hours a night till your out of your ‘rut’ then if you must bump down to 8 hours… bump your calories up! your lifestyle is more active now that school’s back and your working… Maybe experiment with adding +500 cals around workout time/bfast. Go to the beach on this weekend or anywhere where you can let loose, take the weekend off and i mean really take it off… Go get a massage… Than tear the gym up!

There’s alot of great advice from smart people on this thread, take what you need. We all want you to reach your goals and potential lol your light years ahead of many man keep at it!

Hey thanks man, appreciate it.

I’m doing my best to force myself to take every 7th day off now lol, It’s tough but I know I have to do it. I’ve also been working on my sleep as well, just making sure I get in bed earlier. I’ve been pretty good lately about getting 8-10 hours and I feel much better.

And yes, I did get a massage as well  haha
