You aren’t. Your point was valid and the only response grown men should have on a forum like this.

It screams that the problem is they can’t back up what they believe…otherwise, nothing written would bother them so much.

I can’t find all of these posts of me trolling. They apparently only exist in certain people’s heads.

Well, flip is somewhat right. The bottom line is that there is no way to have a reasonable discussion with X, as almost all reasonable members have pointed out (you can dismiss me&brownie as weirdos but take Stu’s word - the most politically correct/nicest guy on here).

Since nobody on here (except the mods) can shut X up or put some sense into him, the only option is to completely ignore him or at least never engage him in a serious way (perhaps a fun remark here and there to keep us entertained).

Nothing more to say about this I think.

I see that I have some haters here.

Cleary I am doing something right and/or am a huge dbag.

regarding zraw - his intention was clearly to have guys like me put X on ignore, which happened. I don’t see where people get off calling zraw immature or a pussy. He’s being mature and a good leader by solving a problem that some of us caused. We’re not all perfect, real men call other men fat and other men give gun threats. It happens, what’s helpful is to move on and get back to the topic of eating a lot of protein and getting a pump. I hope you all learned something today

That would be fine and good as long as we didn’t have X incessantly complaining about people disagreeing with him and telling him he’s wrong. He’s a hypocrite.

I get it that there are lots of people who aren’t themselves when they get online. However, I guess I like to think that most here, especially the posters out of their 20’s, can actually act like an adult. Maybe that’s too much to ask. If I wanted to discuss these things with people who act like he does, I’d go to a high school.

As far as letting an “internet persona” bother me. It’s not about it “bothering” anybody, it’s childish clutter on a forum where he constantly complains about childish clutter.

This thread was childish…and many people are now telling you so. This thread was by no means “mature” nor does it show signs of a good leader.

It shows massive insecurity and a deep need for more attention than he was getting.

It backfired to some degree.

yep, I’ll wager that tnation still won’t be able to have nice things after infiniteshore, myself, zraw, and whoever else is in his fan club puts him on ignore. If he doesn’t chill out, we at least need robert’s rules put in place so that we can have a proper discussion

Seriously though, if that’s the authority this site deserves, maybe we should re-evaluate what sort of reputation we’ve garnered. I hold a deep love for T-Nation as I’ve been here so long, and have always benefited from the articles, discussions with like minded, well versed folks, and certainly done my best to share my own experiences.

It does bother me quite a bit when I see the quality of our forums here badmouthed on other web sites. Sadly though, there have been many accomplished, knowledgeable, and friendly folks who have come through these forums over the years who no longer contribute.

This site has quite a variety of sub-forums, and for people who have actually accomplished things in bodybuilding, or to have worked as coaches, have CSCS certs or kinesiology degrees and the like, to be treated rudely, and made to feel like they are completely incorrect in the ‘Bodybuilding’ forum by people who have neither done, nor earned any of that is just ridiculous.

While I certainly won’t say that the in-fighting and bickering is a good thing either, I do understand the attitude towards what seems to have become a regular occurrence with a particular member (whether trolling, or true disillusion, it changes naught).

It rightfully doesn’t make me want to chime in as much when I simply give examples of IFBB Pros who made well publicized use of certain training techniques as examples and discuss how every accepted technique Pros employ isn’t usually reduced to an article, only to have a rude reply as to my definition of the word ‘most’.

(On the other hand, you’ve got guys like BlueCollarTr8n, who disagreed with me, BUT maintained a respectful, friendly tone. The man is all class in my book).

x2 on BlueCollarTr8n. Same goes for Sentoguy. Even when he disagrees with someone he is completely respectful. It’s conducive to further thoughtful discussion.

That’s what PX fails to understand. He wants everyone to just skip over his posts if they don’t like them. The problem, is that it detracts from the quality of the forum. If you have experienced guys who do no want engage in the discussion because they know it will devolve into some immature BS with PX then everyone else is losing out.

I love how you have lumped me in the “you guys” category. I’ve never made a thread like this, I have never been anything but civil when addressing you, and I never said anybody should always or ever agree with me.

My posts in this thread have been to shed light to those who don’t seem to understand exactly what some might have issue with. Right, because all the posts I wrote in the pre-fatigue thread after you left were about you, guess you didn’t read them. in fact, those posts I share back and and forth with Sento were civil and good discussion. And guess what, we disagreed!

This post is the absolute embodiment of what people have issues with.

This post should end this thread. No one is stopping intelligent discussion. In the past week I have had a college student telling me that the human body has few variables to be concerned with when gaining muscle. This was Austin biceps. His post was responded to intelligently and he responded with a reply that was nothing more than an insult.

You guys are speaking to professionals who have been lifting for several years. I will not apologize for mentioning this when it arises because the resulting childish arguments are often filled with nothing more than “bro-science” lately and guys with youtube accounts.

Bottom line, many people here don’t agree with the OP…so once again, the people should be left to decide for themselves…and it looks like they did.

If YOU have such a problem with me, put me on ignore so this board can continue without your input about me in every thread.

If you have to tell people to get rid of me, you already lost…in more ways than one.

I know I personally have way less respect for a few posters here since they have started responding like this.

The moral of the story here is to let it be. If you don’t agree with PX and he won’t listen then just leave it. Same goes for you Prof, someone doesn’t agree with you then let them on their merry way. What is arguing over the Internet for multiple pages ever going to achieve?

The people who carry on with this are just as responsible as PX for the deterioration in quality of these boards.

? I come here to discuss these issues…and no, people will not always agree.

What is going on here is the elimination of intelligent debate in favor of “with us or against us”.

When I responded to austin about what was completely a topic of biology, his response was similar to “what have I accomplished in bodybilding”:…which is NOT how you carry on a debate.

Many here seem to hate the idea that someone can come along who has not competed in a bodybuilding contest and discuss these issues.

That is ridiculous…and yes, not ever responding to blatant misrepresentations of science or incorrect ideas will leave many newbs running down the wrong path.

That is why I post here…and it is why I won’t stop debating issues if I believe in what I am writing.

Some of the posters here clearly got upset and tried to run me off the forum. It didn’t work.

They then tried calling anyone who agreed with me a “troll” or an alternate account of mine.

That also won’t work.

I am here to discuss weight lifting and getting swole. Fuck the nonsense.

I am glad Zraw made this thread.

He just showed the whole site how ridiculous his mindset is…and his posse.
