Solid Routine for Putting on Mass

so much to wade through…HST, GVT, HIIT, GST, goddamn.

Ive been lifting for a while. Army ranger from 2002-2007, and since then I allowed myself to get out of shape somewhat(just started lifting again in January)

Please help with a routine. got diet down. its just that there are so many seemingly conflicting reports out there about how to gain mass, i dont know where to start. just did 8 weeks of FST7 style. ok gains, but not where i want to be. want to be a relatively lean 250 or so.

any program that makes you lift heavy, put progressively more weight on the bar and a diet that puts more weight on the scale should work for you.

I wouldn’t get too caught up in “this program” or “that program” as long as the loads increase over time, the split makes sense with your schedule and your goals, and it is designed in such a way that allows you to recover sufficiently.

if you’re lifting as a natty/unassisted, I would suggest only taking the last exercise of each body part to absolute failure, unless you’re doing something like DC which has forced/assisted reps at its core.

thanks buddy! I think im just going to try them all(in 8 week cycles or whatever they suggest)

Starting with HST, only because I know all my Maxes. of course if anyone has any programs that they feel are stellar, id love to have input!

5/3/1 or Juggernaut method
-both rock solid and will also give significant strength increases

its mandatory that this be asked at least 3.89821717384 times a week…

531 is amazing if you give it the time to be. Try it out for a year and you will be impressed.

OP looks like a bad-ass. I’m sure he is.
