Soldiering On

dude you could TOTALLY rock a bikini right now and look fabulous.

FOOD:

1030- rough estimate 3/4 cup cottage chz
10 almonds

1pm- 2.5 cans tuna
3 hardboiled eggs
relish
1 tbsp mayo( I know, yuck, but so yum!)

330pm- greek yogurt(cherry flavor mixed in, NOMMMM!!!)
8 oz cuke

6pm- 6 oz ckn
10 oz cabbage

730- shake

Protein good today= 187

Veggies lacking :frowning: Happens when it starts getting hot…most likely to eat more salads, etc pretty soon. And easy stuff like baby carrots…more raw veggies, apples, strawberries…mmmmmmm

I’m really fighting the urge to diet until the hubby gets home…just for one final bout. As if something magical will happen in 4 weeks and 10 lbs will fall off…

I think I can do that WITHOUT crash dieting…
more food more cardio more picking up of the weights! No more diets unless I’m prepping for a show…you can hold me to that.
I may ‘clean up my diet,’ but it won’t be a diet diet.

I swear, that middle section, for women, is the debil!!!

At least she’s wearing panties!!

No crash diets. Slow and steady. Clean. UP your cardio for these next 4 weeks. This is where people give up or start doing stupid stuff. Don’t be one of those people. You’ve come sooo far. GO! Go! Go!

The super calorie restrictive diets will just make you drop and bounce. And you’ll be a grouch. Not worth it.

Mimzy, that pic where you aren’t pinching is looking awesome. No one could guess your weight there. I make it a practice to delete all unflattering pictures. We all have them.

And Yea, for finding a church where you feel comfortable and your kids are learning to be good, ethical people.

MinM

I am always impressed with how rugged your diet is.
nice work .

x10! You’ve got some serious dedication and will power.

Turn that frown upside down.
Shoot for the stars cause if you miss… Ahh F it! You’re not gonna miss
It ain’t over till it’s over.
Give it 110%
want some? Get sooooooome!!!
Treat every day like it’s a gift, that’s why they call it the present.
I’m too drunk to taste this chicken

lol!!! A friend of mine once ate a doily while inebriated. He thought it was cheese…Greg! Are you still awake?! It seems like everyone from California has insomnia.

Thanks for posting the weeks training MiM! Looks really good! I can’t wait to see what you pull together.

The tuna concoction sounds delicious btw

I can’t wait for summer!!!

2 x 45 minutes of cardio
2 days of complexes/ lifting/ heavy lifting.

with the food you eat you will kill this in 4 weeks. no need for additional diets. I never removed all the carbs from my food just sourced it from good places - oates, potatoes, whole rice…

you think my diet is that ‘rigid?’ It’s just the culmination of many years of experimenting…and the food that is left that you see is safe, lol. Maybe some day I can learn to loosen the reigns…

Thanks Greg! Hope your sleeping now…or probably getting ready for work?

Maschy- a doily? OH my, thank your friend for the LOLZ!! hahaha

N! your plan looks good… do sprints count? I would stick to those more than complexes…or can I lift in the am and complex at night? or all in the same session?

I’m off to the gym…might have ‘the talk,’ with the director lady. I’m pretty much over it there. Too clicky, too much fraternization…and I never felt part of ‘the team.’

If you are self motivated and you are determined to make PT’ing your career, then thats AWESOME!!! But I’m not one of em.

We’ll see what happpens…and then I will smash weights.

good luck with the talk!!

Summer’s coming. Nice and warm here today, bet it is warm in MD too. So go outside and flip your bigass tire so that I can read about it later and live vicariously through you

And yes, your diet is a bit rigid. Counting nuts, come on. But seriously, I get it. Do what works for you. When I was on my crazy thin thighs quest I did some pretty restrictive things regarding my diet.

Just remember that you are already beautiful and strong. We keep getting better, that’s all.

Mim: I could be mistaken, but I thought you had some possible thyroid issues that you need to follow up on?

Ran outta time for cardio…will do something here at home later… tire flips + push ups and walking lunge circuit sound good!

Will talk about ‘the talk,’ in a bit…gotta get kiddo off the bus!

Mainie knows her stuff.
I definetely think you should do some more high intensity stuff. Yeah, sprints definetely count; complexes in the night are good. I also like tabatas. 4 minutes each. Short on time, just do one. After a workout or in the evening, do a few.

Ooohhh you’re keeping up with the FST-7. Awesome-ness.
And yes, your cardio for the evening does sound awesome.

So I had the talk with the Director and she’s not letting me off the hook that easily.

She wants me to view this as a learning/growing opportunity for myself. Not just about ‘getting clients,’ and making the gym money.

But what she’s asking me to do is beyond my nature. She wants me to step out of my bubble. To interact with people, to make those connections. She says she thinks I am pretty introverted and I don’t make myself very approachable. Uh, no… I come to the gym to train and get my butt home cause I gotta get my kid off the bus. I get in and get out. Wham bam…no time for talking and socializing.

She suggested I take classes and offered to let me teach a Kids fitness class this summer. She also suggested I come up with my own class/group to ‘teach.’ To put myself out there, etc…
If I do all this and I still feel like I don’t give a damn, then I am to let her know and she’ll let me go…

pPuff- the interesting thing is, is that I don’t get grouchy on hard diets. I get more energy. I do however, feel a depressed because it restricts you as to how much you can do training/cardio wise. Too much and it back fires.

Veg- I don’t view it as being rigid. What would be the opposite? If I didn’t count nuts for example and I’m sitting here bitching about my weight, I’d feel like I wouldn’t really have anything to complain about…I’m trying to prove that I am doing everything I can in order to reach my goals. Plus, I’ve been strict dieting for a long time, am new to tracking food and am trying to slowwwwly raise cals n stuff… I need some variables and constants.

Nikki and N- yep…I’ve relied on strict dieting to take care of the pounds and have pretty much avoided cardio/high intensity stuff until now…

Nadia- yep, and I have a feeling that’s what may be going on here. could explain why only crash diets have seemed to be the way to take care of the weight loss, when others find it so easy to just clean things up and do some cardio. My metabolism is a doh doh…
I tried that for about two years before finally getting pissed off. Not saying I’m a special snowflake, but ya. I need a check up…

earlier I did jump rope, tire flips push ups for 10 minutes…

Then 17 yd dashes  My backyard is about 50 feet long…just sprinting back and forth for 1 minute, jog/walking for 1 minute…10 minutes total…FUN!!

Gave me an idea while doing this stuff. If my boss lady wants me to step outta the box I could instruct a ‘complex circuit,’ training type class. I had an idea before for a class but it fell flat…I think this kind of class would be better anyway…Betty’s boot camp!! Get off the machines and get complex!

I’ll think on it some more. If it was something I could charge to do like $10 for 1 hr and got 10 people, twice a week that would be $800/month! SWEET!!

I need a brand. Something that helps me stand out. Each of the trainers have there ‘thing.’ I’m such a wallflower. I’ve been “training,” for nearly two years and hardly anyone knows who I am. Kinda like High school all over again

I want people to say, ‘oh look, there’s Betty. She likes to train to be strong and look how HOT she is!!’ …maybe I should get off this treadmill and lift some weights.’

FOOD:

9am- shake

1130- gatorade recovery stuff…just thought I’d try it

1230-various jelly beans, STARVING!!!

1pm- 6 oz ckn
4 oz shrimp
mixed with 16oz shredded cabbage and miracle noodles
NOM! Made with tons of lemon and basil and a dash of thai peanut sauce w/sprinkling of shredded coconut

6pm- 11 almonds :stuck_out_tongue:
white fish
5 oz asparagus

730pm- shake( 2 scooper!) made with cherry flavored powder and whip cream…oh my!!!
11 almonds
8 dark chocolate chips

hush Veg!! :stuck_out_tongue: The deal with the counting is that 10-11 almonds is half a serving…22 almonds is 14 grams of fat…sometimes I don’t 14 grams of fat at that particular time, etc…the chocolate chips are 6F 8C for 16 pieces, etc.

TOTALS-- 242P
112C
(24Fiber)
40F
1747 CALS!!! Not counting the whip cream and jelly beans…probably in the ball park of 1800cals…GO ME!

I’m getting there… And I’m sitting here at almost 9 at night hungry again!

Oh and in this light my back looks kinda muscle-y…
