Soldiering On

Great progress and very relieved for you all. You & your family are doing great, remain strong - see the light at the end of this ordeal! You got this!!

Glad everything is working out and that your hubby is here for everything.

You smoke? Did you not mention that (never ever) or did I just miss it?

I came home yesterday to de-hospital my brain and get some SLEEP! Sleeping is fun with a nicotine patch on…I’ve been having the most vivid dreams.

Daddy stayed with Julia so he can have some time with her. It was hard for him to talk me into it and we kinda got in a tizzy…mostly because I hadn’t slept in 3 days and my communication skills were a bit off.

Going back this morning to hopefully bust Julia out of the hospital. Hubby said he convinced Julia to get off the couch and go to the playroom…it was locked, so they just made laps around while she meowed at everyone

I hope she recovers well at home. Its kinda like coming home with a newborn. Like, now what?

She dropped 6.5 lbs while she was there!! She looks so small and pasty, lol…and now she is anemic from not eating. Mommy will have to go to the store today to buy her favorite foods.

I already have someone lined up at the gym to talk training on Wed. She emailed me Friday I think? She was in a powerlifting club in HS!
Looking forward to getting back into my groove…

Hubby leaves again this Saturday…turns out the army people over there were willing to bend the rules a bit. If one of the Drs felt it was in Julias best health and well being for Dad to stay, all they would have to do is send a red cross message and he wouldn’t have to go back.

But we’ve had some talks and we both feel it is important for him to ‘finish what he started.’ To use that card when we really, truly need it. Hopefully Karma will be on our side later…
There could be a really sick kid out there who honestly needs there Daddy to be there. Julia is strong, brave and now good as new!

You would think that I would be begging and pleading him to beg the Drs to stay. But it’s only for about 8 weeks or so…piece o’ cake.

We have so many fun things planned for this Summer. Can’t wait.

greeny-
I started smoking when I was about 13. (ouch) smoked really heavily til I got pg with our first(21). Smoked off and on through the years. Thought I kicked the habit for good by the time coby was three-ish…only to start on a whim this past August when the hubby left for over there.

Im so happy for you that things are going well. That Karma card is a great choice!

hugz

Damn I am behind on things. Keep up the strong work, and give that lil trooper of yours a high five from me

you have such a good handle on things.

got some uncrustables tonight. thought of you, not sure why.

I told you about the dreams, didn’t I! Ah, I’d almost go back to wearing patches for that alone.
Glad Julia’s doing well now.
I hope those 8 weeks whizz past for you.

Wow Betty, that’s really touching. Brought a tears to my eyes when you said, “There could be a really sick kid out there who honestly needs there Daddy to be there. Julia is strong, brave and now good as new!” That’s so sweet and just goes to show what a wonderful family you have and what a generous and courageous woman you are (and your husband!). We really need more people like you in this world and I thank you for sharing all of this with us. The universe will definitely take care of you and your family for putting so much love out there

Now, get back into that weight room and show em who’s boss! slaps MiM on the ass

Ps. Bear, I just looked up these “ubcrustables” - WTF? HAHAH! Its like an edible jelly pouch.

8 weeks will FLY by, really, they will (and you know it!)

And Masch, uncrustables are awesome. Take them out of the freezer for 30 minutes, and nom the whole box!

Seriously fucking gross bro. Call me old fashioned but i prefer SAMMICHES! , you know with crust and stuff.

You might as well just suck on a packet of jelly from the local IHOP. (not a sexual innuendo)

Uncrustables are the shit <3

MiM, you and your baby are strong

If you didn’t put that little disclaimer on the end there, “IHOP” would be easy to misinterpret

Mim–that’s very unselfish of you and your family. I hope karma pays you back tremendously. And that Julia is home and back working out with you soon.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK!!

have done this, as well.

MIM can have her log back naow.

I’m here!

Got home Monday night…
Julia gets tired from the medicine she’s taking and she’s still not eating as much, but other than that she is doing great!

She seems so fragile to me now. We can’t handle her like normal because of her incision.

To make myself feel better I’m getting some new ink on Saturday after the hubby leaves…
I got a letter from one of the ladies at church wondering if all was well, thought that was nice.
And Julia’s teacher called yesterday to check on her too. All the kids drew pictures for her  And the teacher is going to send a note home with Julia’s BFF asking the Mom to come over with the BFF and surprise Julia

Hubby got us a new weight bench complete with a rack…yay!! Should be hitting the weights this morning and then maybe going on a nice long walk.

This was just a blip on the radar. Soldiering on again…

You will be back to normal very soon Betty, keep your chin up and doing what you can. Use the heck out of that new bench & rack you got & be well.

YOU GOT THIS THING!!!

Hitting the gym with the hubs tomorrow. He wants to show me what he does…he’s so proud, lol.

Figure I’ll probably go to the gym 1-2x a week to play with other machines I don’t have here and to squat/DL…squatting/DL’ing just isn’t the same with the tiny bar I have and a million weigh plates piled on both sides…

I’m so happy things are going well. You and your guys are rare gems, and I’m very impressed with the both of you.
