HAHA! Good point Mainie!

Enjoy your time with the family MiM!

Thought I’d update, since the hubby is still sleeping… yay, he’s HOME!!!

Ya, so yesterday was… AWESOME!!!
I wish I could bottle that feeling up.

I made a video of him coming home and had Julia open the door… …I didn’t get to see the look on her face when , but I can tell she was surprised and not really sure what to do. I opened the door the rest of the way(trying not to have a panic attack) and we just hugged and hugged. <3

It took all of 3 minutes for Julia to warm up to him as she led him straight to her room so he can play blocks

We hung out for a bit, then went to little mans school…at first they were trying to give us a hard time about surprising him, because ‘they can’t disrupt academics.’ WHAT?!
But it worked out so thats all that matters.

Of course the moment our son laid eyes on his Dad was priceless. I hope it makes up for at least a little of the sadness he’s been feeling.

Now we have three days of mandatory fun until we have to go to DC

Your vid was the first thing I saw this morn (the Bear “liked it”). I cried like a silly goose! Enjoy every minute he is there and forget about us for a while

Are you on FB N? Friend me!

I’m looking at flowers…gonna get some more INK!!! I’m thinking a nice zinnia to go with my butterfly…then some daisies and ladybugs eventually

Hubby is still sleeping, lol…

YAY!! I for whatever reason happened to be on yourtube when you just loaded the vids. Such a wonderful moment!

Have a wonderful time!!! I’m so happy for you!

just did  now the ball is in your court.

I’m so happy for you mim. Have a great weekend/week.

Saw the videos, i was going to say that you could make your own video like the ones you posted a while back. Agree with frenchie, enjoy your time with the family for awhile. You deserve it.

YAY! Have a wonderful time with hubby.

Thank you!

Of course it’s great having him home, but we all seem to be fighting for time with him. Sigh. Better than not having him here at all though.

I have to take Miss Julia to get her hair fixed. While we were upstairs getting ready for our date, our son managed to get his remote controlled flying helicopter stuck in the side of his sisters hair and decided that it would be a good idea to cut it off instead of coming to tell us!!

We’re supposed to do something fun today, but I think just hanging out without the tv or plugged into his video games will have to do. I’m exhausted. I knew I was a light sleeper, but this is nuts!
How did I sleep when the hubby was home??! When he’s gone, I hit the pillow and I don’t wake til morning…

I don’t want to do this week. Tomorrow we head up to DC to be there in time for Julia’s pre op day that starts 8am on Wed. Thurs is her surgery. Recovery= 3-5 days in the hospital…that may bleed into next week and the hubby leaves again March 5th to go finish the job.

Soldiering On!

I’m glad he’s home, and sorry it couldn’t be for longer. I’m sending positive vibes to you all, and especially Julia.

So glad to hear that y’all are having some great family time. The story about the toy helicopter reminds me of one from my childhood. When I was 6 or 7 my brother got a battery-operated monster truck, you know the kind that could climb up walls and such. It climbed up the couch and into my long hair. My mom and gran spend forever getting it untangled and for some reason they used peanut butter as lube. Fun times. That’s the stuff that you remember and laugh about 25 years later.
Best of luck this week. I too will be sending healing energy your way. So glad that your hubby is home for a couple weeks.
