Soldiering On

oohh! wings!

only reason I’m watching my weight a little is to make sure I don’t bust out of my weight class for the PL.

I’m a bit envious because you now have smaller hips than me (and you’re a few inches taller!) But you have been working harder than I have and thoroughly deserve your progress.

re: the kettlebells - they’re great and I recommend them. However, I can’t do a TGU even with the lightest one (12kg) so when I remember to do them, I use dumbells for that also. I really need to do them more - it’s a great exercise.

And YES!!!
There is a whole world of overweight moms/wives that live on this base alone that could use some help/motivation. Moms especially use the excuse that they ‘can’t,’ work out because of xyz, or they don’t like the gym because xyz…

something’s gotta give, right?

It’s something to re-think about, but my focus is on my own family and myself at the moment. I’ve been working so hard at just holding everything together as it is…

Flexed wings…

Hey, girls…
This was open while running around getting my kiddo off to school.

Thanks!

N- yep, gotta keep an eye on the lbs now…165 class I assume? Thats a good weight class…one I would try and stay at if I was competing…good times.

Cal- I’m probably not doing the TGUPS right… I’ll have take a vid sometime…a more recent one anyway. Takes practice like anything. Hubby has been using KBs over there and would like to get some, so yay…one less thing I have to talk him into, haha.

Trying to squeeze and flex…

The hips/butt/back will be the last to lean down…
it’s a pain, erm, in the ass!!

But I think that doing MORE has been the missing link… was holding myself back for some unknown reason. Oh…I was probably getting wrapped up in LIFT HEAVY WEIGHTS…thinking I had to conserve all my energy for that alone, but trying to diet at the same time. I’m in my own camp now. A mix of who knows what…but I like IT!!!

As long as I keep the protein up and pound the veggies n oat bran, it’s all good. haha.

You wouldn’t believe the number of cars out here with “At-Home Personal Training” stickers on their back windows. It’s definitely a market that has promise, as long as you get the word out and your clients tell all their friends. Your advantage is that you’re a woman, and women are 10x more comfortable training with another woman than they are with a dude.

Good luck, I don’t think it’s something that should be ignored.

Kick ass MiM, and as always…

LWI!

Nice pics, your back looks good!

Betty, you are looking fine! Mixing things up sounds like it is working great for you.

My two new friends!

there probably about 150lbs a piece…I had a genius idea of somehow roping them together to make one BIG tire, but there’s no where to grip from underneath…

which is why I got the two, but now kinda regret it…I’ll probably roll one out to the dumpster when it gets dark.

Oh and I did train earlier… <3 training at home!!

Oh squats
squats
RDLs
and here is where the list gets stupidly long
static lunges-12es
calf raise squat- 20
underhand chin- 8(chair assist)
single leg deadlift- 20es
wide grip pull up- 8
donkey kicks- 20es
alt side lunge- 12 es
close grip pull up- 8
wall squat hold- 90s
fire hydrants- 20 es

alt front/reverse lunge- 12
underhand chin- 5
chair salutations- 2x- 30s
wide pull ups- 6
calf raise- 50

ugh!!

And of course I had to play with my tires a little too…
The first flip was like my first time…kinda awkward and exciting
Though not that heavy, I can tell with consecutive flips it has the potential to “tire,” me out pretty good.

And there must be a way to make it heavier over time…add sand to it? or put some boulders in there…ya!!

Nice! It’s at times like this when I regret living in a studio flat with no storage space and no garden. No tires for me.

Tires! Cool!

tire dance time! runs around in circles

Cal- I still have to store em…I kinda just left em sitting in the middle of the yard…all the little kids around think they are super cool though!

Hey TRAV!!! Thanks, I know!!

N- your welcome to flip my tire anytime

Hope your all having a quiet lazy/fun sunday.

We went to service this morning and then to the store. My friend was there and her kids kinda invited both kids over, lol…She didn’t mind of course, so yay. I opted to stay home than battle the shopping crowds out in the stores. Was gonna get my son a few things(b-day is Friday!) but I can do that through the week. I’d rather savor these quiet moments…but I did manage a nice early spring walk to stretch out my poor leggy’s and now I must go retrieve my monkeys from my friend…my daughter is too funny…as she was getting into my friends car, she says "don’t worry Mommy, I won’t even miss YOU! lol :frowning:

HAHAH! Your daughter is sheer awesomeness!

Good stuff in here MiMsie. I’m digging the home training and your boundless energy. Keep up the great work mama!

absolutely treasure those free moments!

tire flipping FTW!

Nice tires. Invest in a sledge hammer too. Then you can beat on your tire. You can also jump on/in ect…
