Welcome to my training blog thing. Hope you enjoy it.
I figured that I might as well start one seeing as how I have BADD (BodyBuilder Attention deficit disorder). I hope that by doing this it will help me stick to a program for more than 2 weeks without switching to another one.
About me:
I’m 18 years old (19 in march) and I have been working on and off for ~3 years. I am a college student so my feeding times, workout times, and sleep times vary from night to night. This year I am very serious and have been very consistent in the gym, but not consistent with programs.
Height: 5’11"
Weight: 205
BF%: untested but I would estimate it to be about 18%
Short term goal: Lose fat
Med term goal: Keep fat off. Bodyweight Bench. 10 BW chins.
Long term goal: BE ONE STRONG MOFO! while maintaining a lower BF%.
Today I started Destroying Fat: War Room Strategies to Maximize Fat Loss. (Thib)
Breakfast: (7:30)
1 HOT-ROX Extreme
2 Scoops Strawberry Metabolic Drive
1 Egg/Bacon/Cheese on english muffin (I REALLY HATE eggs… I am working on being able to stomach them and lets just say the ones the school makes are not making it easy)
Workout (9:00)
A1. Incline DB press… Best Set: 45’s x 6
A2. DB Flies… 20’s x 8
B1. 1 Arm Row… 80 x 6
B2. Seated scapular retraction… 140 x 8
I went through the supersets 5 times.
I sipped the rest of my protein during my workout and after I had 2 scoops of Surge.
Lunch (12:00)
2 Chicken Breasts
Organic mayo w/ Omegas in it
Bacon
Low Carb Wrap
I’ll probably have something small before my class at 3. I’m thinking I’ll have a protein shake (35g protein, 5 carbs) and something solid. Not sure what though.
After my class (4:15) I’m going to do the alacatic energy systems work.
Feel free to critique and comment on whatever you would like.
I’m stubborn when it comes to cardio. I don’t like to do it, but its a necessity for me to lose weight. So if you want to accelerate your weight loss, do 20 min of steady state cardio on lifting days and HIIT cardio on off days. This will help explain if you’re unsure:

The program I’m doing has a lot of cardio worked in. The alactic workout I did today was supposed to be ~50meter sprints for a volume of 300 meters. Unfortunately I had to use a bike because there was intramural basketball games being played in the gym . looks like I’m going to have to find a way to fit it in at another time.
Before my class I ended up having that protein shake along with a salad (chicken, cheese, mixed greens, italian dressing, carrots). I also took a HOT-ROX before I ate.
After my class (4:30)
Turkey
I went to my girlfriends house and she made me try this dessert thing she made :-/ . It was similar to a vanilla pudding/creme brulee.
I am now about to have cottage cheese + natural PB and before I go to bed I’ll have a scoop of Metabolic Drive for good measures.
okk today i got to sleep in because I dont have any classes (10:00)
I went and tried once again to stomach an egg sandwich. 2 scoops Metabolic Drive and 1 HOT-ROX
I went to the gym and did the lactic acid training and it was a bear. I severely underestimated it and I made it through circuit A 3 times and I felt like I was going to puke. I went on the treadmill for ten minutes and I am going to go do circuit B later tonight and finish up on the treadmill.
After my workout I felt like I was going to toss my cookies. I just sipped some water while I drove home because I didnt think I could stomach anything else. I went home to register to vote. I had some chicken when I got home at 1:30.
I’m a little worried about tomorrow (ash wednesday). I am thinking the majority of my protein will be from Metabolic Drive and some coming from tuna. Going to be a LONGGGGG day. Any suggestions on things to eat would be grand
When I went to go register I also took out the book “Cheat to Lose” by Joel Marion. I was thinking of starting this diet up and actually following a structured diet instead of what I am doing now. If anyone has done the diet let me know how it went
