Congrats.
Mind detailing how you leaned out between these two pictures?
I remember you bro. Had a good thread I followed, that you just left
Looking a lot leaner then I remember, so good job. Info on diet, routine, things of that nature?
damn it!!! i just took 15 min posting a reply to you guys and it didn’t fucking upload?!?!?!
basically my theory is very simple… calories in vs calories out, you need to eat less calories, you need to be in a calorie deficit, EAT LESS CALORIES and BE MORE ACTIVE that will get you lean, i actually did intermittent fasting,
my diet consisted of mostly meat and veggies, very low sugar intake, carbs kept moderate sometimes high, and i cheated about 2x/week, i incorporated a lot of conditioning work into my weekly program, and i stayed old school like always, squat/bench/DL kinda threw other stuff in as i went along, in and out of the gym in about 30min, i keep my sets to around 6 sets total per body part, stimulate don’t annihilate
week looked like this
mon-sprints, heavy bag work, around 5-10, 3min rounds 10sec rest in between rounds
tues-chest and biceps
wed-condidtioning (like monday)
thrusday-shoulders, triceps
friday-conditioning
saturday-back
sunday-legs
this was a long time ago so i don’t remember if these were the exact days etc but this was my style of split,
Is your training meant to be more PL oriented, BB oriented, or do you have goals in both?
going through a bulking/strength phase right now—training is set up like this
monday-DL/back-basically pick a type of DL work up heavy, hit some heavy rows barbell mostly for about 3 sets, 3 sets of heavy shrugs
Tues-heavy bag and abs
Wed-Bench-pick a type of bench work up heavy, close grip, wide grip or another “rep” exercise
Thurs-Heavy bag and abs
Fri- squats- Mostly olympic ATG squats or front squats, good mornings, one other ham or quad exercise,
sat-maybe do biceps maybe not
sun- rest
I like simple heavy old school training, get in get out, remember i come from a deep rooted powerlifting background, a certain guy who i call a friend ( walked out and squatted 1000x2 in a famous video in powerlifting circles told me i need to just focus on the basics, another person i spoke to recently (Pro BB/biggest all time raw total in PL) told me i need to “train less eat/sleep more” big multi-joint movements build big thick dense physiques, if you can bench 500 raw, DL 600 raw, Squat ATG olympic 600 no belt no wraps, you won’t be small, sure you need to throw in some hypertrophy work but the main focus should be 3-8 reps on the BIG THREE

Well to me there isn’t as much of a difference as ppl would like to think unless we are talking geared powerlifting, my goal has always been to be huge, strong, ripped, athletic, look at the greats, arnold, franco, kirk karwoski, kaz, chuck V, Ronnie , Look at stan efferding, look at justin harris, you aren’t gonna be pro bb size and be weak, you aren’t gonna be super strong raw and be small, so to me I just want it all like the old days when there wasn’t a separation, franco columbo-mr olympia, golden gloves boxer, competitive powerlifter, strongman,
Do you use OHP much? Why or why not?

i actually do not OHP that often/ for me my shoulders have always been really strong i can close grip about the same weight i can bench press, i have strict pressed over 225 for reps, it really feels awkward to me, i prefer to use bench/close grip/ seated DB press for hypertrophy and strength, my opinion is if it works for you DO IT, if not fuck it
