So I'm Buying My First Car

Sometime closer to summer. I’ll have between 8000-10,000 crappy Canadian dollars to spend, but it can’t come soon enough damnit. I still don’t know what I’m going to get though. I gotta find something that’s okay on gas, decent with insurance and big enough to fit my 6’4’’ frame, which eliminates A LOT of cars right off the bat. I’d also like something with some testosterone attitude :stuck_out_tongue:

So far, I’ve been looking at the Ford Crown Victoria, or my buddy’s Daytona 500 Grand Prix which he’s selling soon as well. I’ve been getting tons of suggestions from my friends, ranging from early 90s Camaros to pick up trucks. If you didn’t guess yet, I’m most probably going for an American car.

Anyways, what would you guys suggest?

I just bought a car a few months ago, used, and let me tell you, a car’s buying price and price to own is WAY different.

If I were you, I’d allot like 80% of your money saved up to pay for the actual car, and 20% for an “emergency” fund.

Oh, read Dave Ramsey’s “Total Money Makeover”
