I’m convinced I popularized the practice of mocking the Braves with their own tomahawk chop chant during the 2002 playoffs against the Giants. I started doing it in the 1st inning of a blowout and by the end of the inning the whole section was with me, and an inning later, the whole crowd.

On deck sounds better, but apparently it’s a hipster term, so it’s no longer a viable option for me. Neither is any sort of variation on it, such as below deck, above deck, wet deck etc.

Been using this one for a couple years, win. I like that its not wide spread because you can talk about people in front of them. We have a few words like this so we can talk freely no matter where it is we are at.

My BFF and I have been using Fin for years.
It is the declaration of the full, permanent, and unquestioned death of a relationship.
Started using this in high school.
Most recent context her divorce.

My introduction of the slang term “fin” into the American lexicon is meant to be as a complete word all to itself. Fin in the way I use it is not short for anything. Well I don’t really remember the details of the movie it was about twenty years ago but based on the art house movie theater that we saw it in I’m sure you’re right.
