Neither 135lb front squats nor deficit deadlifts will be better for leg mass than the leg press. [/quote]
x2
leg press is great, although its annoying to set up if you have strong legs. plus it gets strong very fast and theres a lot of ways you can use it, all of them good and painful
Thank you guys. As I don’t have a trap bar i will use the snatch grip deadlift as a main exercise (my legs hurt after for days after doing it) and the leg press as an assistance. I also pull sumo so i don’t think it will go that bad without squats. We’ll se.
What do you mean? I just said that I would do dl variations and use the leg press as an assistance. The max weight of the leg press at my gym is like 400, so I can’t use it as a main exercise.

Can you do 3x20 reps with one leg with 400?
If no, you can use it as a primary exercise. Then do front squats with all you can clean without locking out, snatch grip deficit deads and some other stuff.
