Joe now we need to know why of course? you can’t just leave us hanging like that.
Kimba - you are not aloud to browse the net during your vacation!! the whole point of a vacation in Amsterdam is to disconnect. Seriously I don’t want to see your ass in here or I will hunt you down!
sorry Snap - end high jack. I personally just want to see your ass cause I aint good, and eventually in the near futur when your all spanking new and good to go, some awesome lifts. But until then your ass is plenty good enough for me ;)[/quote]
I’d like to say its because the Truth in Advertising laws are so strong that I’m required to show how good I am. The truth is though that “Good” is just the first four letters of my last name.
Joe Goodness? Joe Goodall (A relative of Jane’s)? Ahh, I love a good mystery.
So I struck a bit of a compromise with my physical therapist yesterday after a long chat. Quite honestly, I can’t go backwards at this point, but I will abide by his wishes to take it very, very slowly. Consequently, my weights will be ridiculously low with very gradual increases. My training from here on out will be pretty consistent:
Monday: squat + accessory work
Tuesday: PT
Wednesday: hike or swim
Thursday: PT
Friday: DL + accessory work
Saturday: PT
Sunday: some interval work if I can force myself
Today’s training:
Warmup: 2 minutes on hand bike, stretching, RDLs with bar
Deficit Conventional DL (I’m calling this a “deficit” cause I’m pulling the little plates from the floor)
5/10/75
I was at this meet and saw her. She’s incredible and in the 132-lb. weight class. Her squat depth is perfect. A slight dip below parallel in the hole, which is required of USAPL.
I’m glad to see you’ve compromised and that you’ve set a course for yourself and your continued recovery. Well done! And your weights aren’t too tiny, mind you. But I guess that’s relative…
Thanks for that vid! She’s so long and thin, yet ridiculously strong. You PLers still boggle my mind.
Wow, I can’t get over Jennifer Thompson’s strength! It’s mind-boggling, and incredibly inspirational! Thanks for sharing that Snapper.
I’m glad to hear you were able to reach a compromise with your Physical Therapist regarding your lifting. Looks like quite an agressive plan, I’m eager to follow along.
