that is an awesome milestone! it’s been, what, 4 months since surgery?

yeah for chinups - you put the rest of us to shame.

My daughter’s bar routine at her first gymnastics meet.

Outstanding. Gymnast are amazing. They have such a high strength to weight ratio. Already doing pullups, dips, and things most grown ups can and never could do.

All right! you must be very proud of her.

Does she have a competitive spirit from you?

Cool video!

I’m married to one.

She used to do these amazing flips and twirls across the floor and I’d go “Wow, amazing!”. Then we got married and she was coaching for some extra dollars on the weekends and she’d do these flips and twirls across the floor and I’d go “Holy sh*t! We don’t have insurance!!” LOL.

Amazing strength to bodyweight ratio, but she still can’t open heavy doors or get jar lids off…

Your daughter did great! Congrats!

neat video and cool tricks

You must be very proud. Congrats on the pullups.

I recognize that look of determination on her face. A chip off the old block.

How Awesome!

nice progress

way to go on the pullup …

and your daughter rocked it out

Yeah, my daughter’s a superstar. I’m definitely the proud mom. She really just started in gymnastics, but already has decent poise. After the meet, she was upset with herself. Didn’t think she did well enough. So similar to how I am. I gave her a little lecture about saying “thank you” when people compliment rather than finding some way to diminish her accomplishments. It’s definitely a girl/women thing.

Today’s training

Squat
10/45
8/75
5/5/100 (90% of bodyweight)

RDL
10/45

Sumo Deadlift
10/75
3/8/100

Have I mentioned how much I HATE sumo DLing? Well, I really hate it and suck at it as well. Give me conventional any day.

Good Morning
3/8/65

Seated Hamstring Curl
3/8/70

Never done ^^ this machine before. Didn’t really like it, but the gym where I was training this morning didn’t have a lying hammie machine.

Finished the workout with TWO CHINUPS! Working my way back up to ten.

Sumo sucks. Anyone who enjoys it is not right in the head. Cool stuff with the kid.

Very cute vid snap, proud Mom for sure!

I cant sumo pull to save my ass. By the way tell the daughter good job.

Nice!

Lots to be proud of…her for competing and doing well and you for continuing to push but restraining yourself where it makes sense.

Nice work on the chin ups. I still remember the feeling of doing one the very first time. They always look so bad ass to me. In my head now, I mock the guys that do lat pull downs. I’ve become such an elitist.

Your daughter looked great at her meet. She has a lot of natural grace and poise. If she feels like she could have done better, you can tell her that at my first meet, after my dismount from the bars, I lost points for pulling my leotard out of my back side.

Don’t diss sumo btw. I’d be lost without it.

nice squats and chins
