Instead of taking a week off, I’ll just try doing something totally different. Since I’ve been letting rest periods get reeeeeeeal long lately, especially on the deads and squats, let’s do EDT instead. That’s a good way to increase density and keep the rests from stretching out.
15 minutes: front squat 99 kg, got 43 total reps
Then the blonde in the video above showed up to buy an old bicycle a couple of hours earlier than I thought she would, so I had to grease the chain and adjust the brakes and pump the tires. That’s my excuse for stopping there for the day, LOL.
Let’s try this EDT thing for a while.
15 minutes: deadlift 189 kg for singles, did 13
15 minutes: pullup, got 41 reps and military press 59 kg, got 43 reps
For the squats I tried keeping a consistent pace, doing a set of 3 or 4 every minute, then as many as I can the last minute. That’s a good way to make yourself extra-miserable.
15 minutes: front squat 99 kg, got 53 total reps
15 minutes: pullup 22 kg, got 23 reps and db floor press 46 kg, got 20 reps
Had some other stuff to do this evening, managed to sell one of my plaid basses, but didn’t have much time to lift. And tomorrow evening is busy again.

Tweaked right bicep a little, hopefully nothing serious.
I guess I’ll take that week off now. Today I did one deadlift single with 193 kilos, but that bicep started feeling funny again on the second single. Better give it some rest.
Feels great to be rested, but doing EDT on a hot summer day with no AC will make you think that maybe EDT is better in the winter.
